    The Giants/Pirates series was the best series I've watched in years. The Giants' kids are playing fantastic, and with a lot of confidence. Chapman is an absolute stud. Soler is finding his stroke. Wade cannot get out. And just seeing some fight and emotion out of the Giants is a sight for sore eyes. If we can keep up the batting, watch out, because the pitching is going to be there. I know its 2 out of 3 against the Pirates in May, but it cannot be overstated how huge this was for our season.

    I think the funniest thing about the " they're only beating under 500 teams" for the Phillies is the fact that people have no problem calling the dodgers the best team in baseball and they've also had an almost equal "easy" schedule.
    The fact of the matter is the majority of the teams in baseball are under 500 right now and good teams beat bad teams

    • @JustSomeGuy009

    after his complete game shutout earlier this season, ranger suarez was asked if he ever disagreed with JT's calls and ranger said that no he just threw whatever pitch JT called for without questioning it, given JT's experience, so Im inclined to hop on board jake's catcher theory

    • @JustSomeGuy009
      @JustSomeGuy009 7 місяців тому

      Realmuto has a major factor in the pitcher success, but it only works because the pitchers like Suarez have great command of all their pitches. Without that it's hard for anyone to call the game... pitcher, catcher, or managers.

    • @Khitiara_
      @Khitiara_ 7 місяців тому

      @@JustSomeGuy009 well obviously yes, still interesting to get glimpses of the level of impact a good catcher can have on pitching even at the major league level

    • @tBeNz0
      @tBeNz0 7 місяців тому

      @@Khitiara_ Yeah I recently found out how the newer catchers drop their glove at the start of the pitch, and catch the ball on an upward swing, so the umpire can't tell how far off from the original spot the ball was supposed to be. It makes pitches just out of the zone seem more like strikes, whereas the old way, with the glove up, would move slightly to catch the ball, so when they try to bring it back towards the zone, its way more obvious to the ump.
      Realmuto is one of the best at doing this.

      This is a bad take. Not sure how the rangers got lucky losing the division on the last day and then having to win all those road games. The astros were not cold and the DBacks were red hot going into the world series. This year has been a mix of injuries and underperformance. Did players overperform last year? duh, every team needs that to win the world series. Also, last year pretty much every player except Semien and the backups took a turn on the IL. Shit is hard.
