I appreciate when teacher vloggers are completely honest about how things go... it makes me feel like I am not alone! It doesn't make you look like you don't like your job. I get it; we LOVE our jobs and have so much passion for teaching, but there are some very real challenges that we face and I'm grateful for those who openly share. Also, I hear you on shared slide deck projects. I LOVE the idea of groups or individual students contributing to one project in that way, but EVERY time I've attempted it is has become a disaster. Deleted slides, one sneaky student messing around in other's slides (and I can NEVER figure out who), mysterious deletion of the entire deck... I was smiling/nodding at everything you said about that 'dumpster fire'! LOL
Thank you!! One of my goals is to be open and honest about how I’m feeling and what my life is really like as a teacher, so it’s nice to hear appreciation for it. And YES!! Why does that always seem to happen?? Hahaha!
I just binged all your videos. Your positive attitude and your love for kids and teaching really inspires me. I teach preschool now. But I taught 4 th grade when I first taught. And I felt exactly like you when it came to management. I never could get things done because some students just derailed the afternoon. I realized now that the kids liked me but never respected me. So I when I went back to teaching i studied up on it. UA-cam helped. One Fab teacher (UA-camr) was so helpful. She’s primary so I don’t know if she’s applicable to you. I really found Hello Miss Romeo’s video on management and class culture helpful as well. And she teaches third. Please check her out. She uses table points.
Is there a way to show how you make slides for your class? I’m currently in university for elementary education and would love to make slides that look this nice. 🌟

I can definitely!
And that’s so exciting that you want to be a teacher! How much longer do you have in school?
