@@HimeLowii to be fair, we often censor comments because UA-cam has a bot that automatically removes them if they have certain words. It doesn’t always do that though, it’s pretty inconsistent

The sheer amount of “workaround” words that have been spawned just to communicate through censors with some efficacy is a sign that the dystopia is already upon us.
The real issue is that people are playing by the rules of the system. Rules that only get worse and worse. People still assume that if they play by the rules then one day magically the system will stop screwing with them. In fact the opposite happens. The system escalates making up new and worse rules. People are too naive to realise that if you play by the rules of the powerful the powerful won't suddenly become nice.

We do it for enjoyment and share interests. Marking our content as "made for kids" restricted us from important features that even makes UA-cam, UA-cam. While also damaging the exposure to the algorithm. For those trying to make money, it hurts those UA-camrs even more who just wanted to do UA-cam and freelance for a living.

Fuck censorship. It will always fail. Every case of censoring happening I've run into online I've been able to defeat with pig Latin. Then there were the Discovery channel forums which would change the word "farther" to "****her". The game Golf With Your Friends censors one of my friends' names (killobyte) entirely, because it contains "kill". But the word "coprophage" is perfectly fine.

From Alphabet's perspective, the content creators (that is, the users) don't sustain the platform, they are a cost position. UA-cam is already the biggest data host (or "content provider") by far, and every minute, more content gets added, most of which hardly anyone ever sees.

Why is it that the Incredibles 2 was allowed to say "damn", "hell", and say things like "Oh Lord" and keep their PG rating, but if a content creator does the same thing (on UA-cam, TikTok, etc), they get punished? Whether it be age restriction on UA-cam or shadow banning on TikTok, content creators (real people) are expected to be more perfect and squeaky clean than fiction. Make it make sense.
