Thanks Rodney! I just wanted to say, I am amazed at the work you do learning a game’s rules, writing scripts, and shooting videos to teach the rest of us. The fact that you have done this for hundreds of games, and still make the effort to respond and answer questions in the comments is mind-boggling to me. I know you do it for the love of the hobby, but I hope you know that you have cultivated an impressive resource and legacy here on UA-cam and within the hobby. I also appreciate your stance against covering games that feature generative AI! Your support of creators reaches artists of all kinds, including me as a writer. I admire you and the work that you do!
That's really kind of you to take the time to say. I have been very fortunate to be able to do something like this and have it appreciated by people like yourself. If you like something in what I do, you can blame yourself for helping to make it happen Aaron :) I'm truly thankful for the support and thoughts on the work. I hope to be able to keep doing this for a long while - thanks for helping to make that possible!
What a perfect explanation of a beautiful game! Thanks Rodney for all your contribution to the community! Your how to play videos are amazing and always very clear!
Rodney, your video made me hit pause check to confirm my local board game shop had it in stock, drive and purchase this game. I just finished my first playthrough and oh my. This is a winner. It’s tasty almost in its bag building chaining goodness. I hope you get your cut!
It’s my favorite of 2024! I bought and played and made my own how to play video for this amazing game, glad to see this on your channel, came by to give this a like, and how could I not!
I get to play Harmonies and Joyride this evening. I'm so jazzed to play both. Thanks for the video and hat tip to Monique for her great video on Joyride as well!
I love these kind of games cuz the rules r simple enough that anyone can play, but strategies can get so complex that experienced plays can enjoy it too
I see that the disk where you are going to place the animal cube must be empty. What about the adjacent discs that create the required pattern? Do they have to be empty also? Or is it OK if they have a cube on top from before? Thanks in advance
I like how R beats C in the final scoring of the game. Now I have to pay attention to that in your other how to play videos to see if it's a running joke.
I'm not fully sure, but I think your Side A river scoring might be inaccurate. I don't have a physical copy of the game, but I've played 100+ games on BGA, and when I had a full loop of 6 river tokens, I believe the game awarded me a score for 6 tokens, not 4. I love your videos though, learned many games on your channel, thanks a lot and keep them coming!
I did get this approved by the publisher, so I'm as confident as I can be. This may in fact be an error in the scoring rules for BGA. Sometimes they program those rules incorrectly.
The rules definitely say to count the number of tokens by the shortest path so the best you could score for a loop of 6 River tokens would definitely be 4.
@@EirikrThorvaldssonI understand everything else when it comes to scoring but it’s this river scoring that has me confused. Can you elaborate more on why he didn’t count the 2 other tokens when completed the river into a whole circle? In the rules it says (ends included)

Really nice to know you enjoyed what you saw!
Great video! I can see why this was so popular at BGGCON.
Yeah, it was everywhere, right?
This game is a blast on BGA.
I've been hearing it has a good implementation there.
such a great little game. i was surprised at how much i enjoyed it.
Very glad you did!
Great explanation! You’re the best!
Thank you kindly :)
Excellent explanation as always
Thank you Marco! Appreciate you checking out the video.
Thanks, Rodney 😊 You're the best and this game, too! 🎉
Glad you've enjoyed this game!
Great explanation of the Game!
Thank you!
Harmonies is amazing. Highly recommend.
Glad you've enjoyed it!

The only disk that much be empty is the one where the cube will be placed.

I'm not sure why he doesn't score better in these things...
Great game, but do the cards stand up any better? My copy from when it first released, the cards warped something fierce.
me too!
I believe later printings solved that problem.
Reminds me of Tiny Towns.

Thanks for clarifying a couple of things I was doing incorrectly. Your videos are super helpful, Rodney 👍🏾👍🏾
So glad to know this was useful - thanks for the kind words!
Trying it out now on BGA. I think I like it! Can't wait to play with those fruity-looking pieces.
The components make for very nice table presence :)
Was matching the shirt to the box on purpose or just a happy coincidence?
😇
Rodney, how many takes do those box flip intros take? 😆
Are you suggesting it's not the first time every time? *gasp*
If there's no Rodney "how to play" tutorial, I dont buy it.. lol
Thanks Rodney👍
A pleasure!
Huh. I played it for the first time and it was just two players and we used the 3 space board for the discs.
Glad I could help! And easy mistake to make as it looks like it should be for less players (and it is, I suppose :) ).
👍🏻

Thanks for being so speedy!
Thank you Rodney, for your time and effort, excellent content as always.
Very kind of you to say!
