    My best friend cannot understood why I so much appreciate this actor, than I let her watch his interviews, where he talks about his characters with so much beautiful words, and he really knows what he wants to say. This is one really smart man, who loves his work, respects his fans...of course, he is attractive, but he has stunning personality. I think thats the main reason why he is loved by so many fans. Go RA!

    Richard Armitage must be one of the most gorgeous men I have seen (and heard!) in my life. I am glad that we will soon be able to see him on the big screen, because my heart is full of compassion with the millions of people on the planet who don't know him yet. ;-)

    That voice, oh, that voice!!!! I love him so much. He's so handsome and serious looking, and then he smiles and it's like heaven! I love him in North and South so much :)

    "I have never been so entranced by an actor"
    The same here. :-) And I live on the other side of the Atlantic. There are plenty of very handsome actors. I usually don't care about them. But it is different with Richard Armitage. His sceen presence, voice and charisma are just mesmerizing.

    This is one of my favorite interviews. He is so attractive and at the same time so cute. Nice and calm and all about love... I hope someone finally will give him a role like that. Please!

    His appeal is beyond looks. Of course he does look great, especiall in this interview, but more than that, he has got a certain magnetism that is hard to describe. It has to do with screen charisma, with his voice and his ability to convey emotions. You just can't turn your eyes off of him.

    Lord Jesus, we are so lonely. It is so easy to live in fantasy land where there are no disappointments & brokenness. it is so easy to cast our eyes on this lovely man. Forgive us, Lord. Keep us living in the present. Give us eyes to see the good things we've missed. May those who are captured by the beauty & talents you so generous gave R.C. be motivated to pray for him. Fame & fortune has eviscerated so many. Keep R.C. Bless, protect & guide him. May he always know that you are near.

    i started watching Spooks because of Rupert Penry Jones, but am now flying through the seasons to get to the Lucas' seasons. Love this show, but it's really sad to see some of the main characters disappear or die out... i cried like a baby when Danny died. Possibly because he was the last of the originals and unlike Tom and Zoe, he dies. :( Fantastic show though, and Richard is an amazing actor.

    I am a native German speaker, and on German television there hasn't been shown much of his work yet (not even the last seasons of "Spooks"). I happened to discover him only recently when I saw "North & South", and his performance and charisma swept me off of my feet. I couldn't believe that this incredible gem of an actor is still kind of "hidden" on British television. That's why I was excited to hear that he was cast in "Captain America" and especially in "The Hobbit". :-)

    Omg the episode when all his past is out is so moving if he dies it will be so sad he acted that so amazin I think he is just utterly drilliant and should be in Spooks for ever as it would not be the same with out him. X

    It's really special when you hear he would rather do something about love rather than violence and in this world where most people want to be really KNOWN and have their whole life printed on a magazine or on the internet, its lovely that he keeps his personal life PERSONAL and I'm very glad he done all the roles he has done and I'm so excited to see him in the Hobbit! The role of Thorin suits him so well! he will be amazing and hopefully this may open another door for him! God bless him.

    I saw Richard in a non-violent role for a daytime bbc mini-series earlier this year - can't remember what it was called and even though he showed his versatility I can't but think of him as anything other than the archetypical British spy - even his role in Robin Hood didn't quite cut it for me. I can't believe the producers of the James Bond franchise haven't earmarked Richard - they need to do it before he gets too old to be considered for the part - he's tailor made for it.

    Favorite episode...hard to watch, especially during the suicide scene and the last few minutes where he and he Darshavin are facing off...but so worth it because of the acting prowess. Nearly a cathartic experience, but one always senses that worse is on the horizon....

    • @englishlady9797
      @englishlady9797 3 роки тому

      The irony of it though is that the debacle which was the Season 9 finale arguably did "kill" the series. There was only one more Season, which only had 6 Episodes, and some people refused to watch it because they were so disapponted by what was done to Lucas' character in the end.

  • @kathrenannem.7059
    @kathrenannem.7059 9 років тому

    I agree with Richard- Spooks is Intense! He also makes a comment about the way the characters put their lives on the line every day... and the remarks that he doesn't know if thats what goes on at the real MI-5 or not... Well Richard I have news for you...
    Yes; that is what goes on... and I will tell why I say that. There is a film called- "Assets" based on a book written by 2 CIA agents and published in the early 2000's. The book is not fiction, it is a blow-by-blow description of a case they both worked on. There was a Mole in the CIA. The two ladies worked tirelessly for years to figure out who was selling out their Assets to Russia. Over a relatively short period of time in the '80s all their spies, and Russian Officers giving them information were killed. It was obvious a CIA agent with access to the Russian Asset files gave the information to their enemy. It wasn't until the late '90s that the news broke on the U.S. national News. A CIA agent and his wife were arrested and charged with Treason. The agent got life in prison without chance of parole, his wife, a Colombian woman, received five years and was deported to her native country.
    The reason I bring it up is that it is a true story of the dangers inherent in their work. And it adds a feel of reality to the MI-5 series if you watch it first. Knowing what they go through, knowing the absolute violence they face when caught, allows you to imagine what it might have been like if the show were about the real exploits of British Spies.
    Talk about Chills... yeah you know it!

    Wow. He says NO to violence and YES to love. He's fantastic. That's quite rare I think. Also after what he said about filming North & South. He's so down to earth, romantic guy who hates to be categorized and who's not ashamed to say he wants to do "something nice and calm, all about love".
