I bought a beautiful peperomia scandens, it was huge and bushy. But it had some little black specs like yours does and I thought it was infected with some fungus from the nursery. Then, of course I tried to save it and prevent whatever it was from spreading to my other houseplants. I ended up killing the poor thing but I managed to save some cuttings and now have replanted them with rooting powder hoping it works. Any thoughts on propagating with the powder directly into soil? And more important, was my plant sick after all?
@@CreativeHomeGarden Thanks for your reply! I tried propagation, dipped in rooting powder with no success. The cuttings died, they rotted. However, the mother plant wasn't completely dead! I left it alone in my patio and weeks passed, there were still lots of healthy leaves in there. My impression of this plant is that it prefers to be outside. I'll leave it be for now.😅
I bought a cutting with a node and leaf and placed it in drinking water. The stem part has changed to a translucent brown color. Is this normal? Is this cutting a dud?
Thank you very much 'cause i did'nt want to lose mine...👍
Glad I could help
Would love if you would do more on this beautiful plant 🤩
thanks

put powder in stem too, and place indirect sunlight. I hope your plant growing healthy.

Can it grow in water in long run or do we need to shift it to the soil once the roots are developed?
