I'm going up there myself in August of this year. I suspect I might not make the last 200 meters up to Myticas myself, so I totally understand you! No failure in my opinion. If someone is up there that can lend me a long rope I have something for support or if they could have something placed out there as extra safety, I think that would be good! Overall I'm all in for trying to do this in one day myself, so I'm doing what I can in terms of training my body this summer to make it easier.
Excellent video, twice I have been defeated by this amazing mountain, but, only because I spent so much time taking photos on the way up. I will be returning though as still so much more to discover. You did really well to get as far as you did.
Great job mate, I feel your pain. We just went from Prionia to Mytikas but spend the night at the refuge on the way back. We were talking about how exhausting it would have been if we had done it all in one day. Forgetting your sunglasses must have made the experience even harder!
I did this mountain in 1 day. It was stupid to begin with, but I started to show my father around the agricultural fields of Veria, then to Vergina for the tomb of the father of Alexander the Great, Phillip II. And then it was around 13:00 when we arrived at Prionia. And my father said he would wait down there at the mountain for me while I promised to be back before the sun is down. But the sun was down around 20:15. I managed to be down 5 minutes after that. My father was a bit angry. But o well. It was a crazy walk. It was not walking actually. It was as if I had to move around like a marvel character. People who're going to sleep at one of the huts higher up saw me going up and had to laugh when they saw me go down. So ok. After that 3 days leg day pain and a story I can happily tell. But I don't think I will ever be doing mount Olympus in this fashion again. I would still try to do it in 1 day, but then from 8:00 instead from 13:00. It was a great hike and incredible area.
Never defeated! You had a wonderful adventure, thanks for taking us along
He did such a good job! And luckily he made it down before sunset. xz

Olympus will prevail!!!
What an experience you did really well
Thank you, it was quite the climb but the view at the top was gorgeous.
This man is a legend to make it to mount fucking Olympus, what a king
What is that plume at 7:09?
Beautiful mountains really. 👍
You can easily do it in one day, you just need to start from K.E.O.A.X base. It takes about 6,5 h there and back (16 km).
Beautiful video guys! Great content
Yes, it is possible. I did it in 1975. Why am I still alive (considering all the circumstances) - I have no clue... 😳Mind you I was 23 then...😂

Are you saying you went from Prionia to one of the peaks and back.. in 7 hours?
It's ok failing not many people can do the hike from Litohoro to Mytikas in a day
