Glad I found your channel. I would love to thru hike the TRT. Went to Tahoe for the first time last month and did some mountain biking. I agree with the comment on another video about picking up a CNOC water bladder. Much better than the Sawyer bag. And good call on picking up the Garmin in-Reach Mini. I have one and it has come in handy to check in with the loved ones when off grid and the security of knowing you can call for help if needed. You ladies put in some big miles. p.s. your pup is super adorable.
aw thank you! I will have to check out that water bladder- so many recs! I am surprised I didn't come across it sooner! So glad you are liking the videos! It's been so fun to edit and remember everything!
Tip on the sawyer; they fit on a smart water bottle or a life water bottle. I always bring 2-3, 1 liter bottles. They weigh like 3 oz. when empty and it’s mad easy to use. Just fill them up with dirty water and go! AND! WAY more reliable than the bags.
All my thru-hiker friends have tried to convert me to the smart water bottle thing lol I just love my camelback hose so much! We shall see! We ended up using a gravity filter and I really liked it. Not quite as lightweight but sure convenient.
@@ArielleShipe haha I figured you might have, my partner swears by his gravity filter...I think he’s crazy. Though I’m planing the trt in a few months and I might bring it if only to carry extra h2o on dry stretches! ✌🏻
If you try doing 20's to begin on the PCT, you're inviting injury. Most people will eventually have to exit the trail for a while. Start low, 10 miles, and build. Still, you guys did well here.
Rockin the miles! Watch your steps! 😃 nct in late September!north Dakota western terminus... East bound. My answer to not going on my pct thru hike this summer! Enjoy the rest of the hike and make plans for the next one sooner than later! Hike hard! Be safe! Love life! ✌
This is such a dream to do a through hike. Bill has bad knees so he could never do it I have made him do a few days hikes 5 to 10 miles but he pays for it a few days. I love to hike and the view there looks so amazing. Just found your channel a few days ago. Enjoying the info and content.
Hi just wanted to say crushing it lots of good vibes amazing video of the hike I had to watch all 3 of them. Smart water bottle is a must , bags are a big NO NO a big disappointment for a Good water filter!!!!!!!! A fan hike on. JoP
I have yet to convert myself over to the smart water bottle. I am just such a big fan of having a tube- I don't feel like I drink enough water otherwise. All my PCT friends say I'll be converted after a longer truhike though haha
@@ArielleShipe Hi just use the smart water bottle to filter that water into your regular water container there are other bags that fit your filter like the one that came with the filter I am waiting for the next videos be safe and have fun. JoP
You are doing really long stretches. Don't you want to slow down a little bit and enjoy the trip with some more rests? The TRT looks like a totally amazing hike. If I would live in the US this one would definitly be on my bucket list like sooo many others. I'm still dreaming about the JMT... Enjoy your trip
We actually finished the hike more than a week ago! Just working on editing and releasing all the videos now :) But yes, we did big stretches! I really enjoyed it though- type 2 fun! lol And i can't wait to walk most of the JMT when I do the PCT! Looks like such a magical trail!!!

I had to head over to google to look up that trail- holy moly does it sound amazing! Have the absolutely best time! happy trails!
That’s a beast of a trail, especially trying to get out of Northern MN before winter hits.

@@ArielleShipe I'm so stupid. Of course you are at home now. I'm looking forward to your PCT adventure next year, especially the Sierras
You said Janky!!! ROTFLMFAO!!! Loving the videos!
hahaha Glad you liking them!! :)
I'm curious what changes you made in your food...what you had before and what you switched to.
More bars and less cooked food- I ended up just wanting things I could eat on the go.
I wish I had the stamina you girls do. I think my limit might be 13-15 miles a day with training before. It will take me 3 weeks to do lol
Thats ok! It doesn't matter how long it take- you'll get more time to enjoy it!! :)
Nice. Looks great but very hot. Keep at it!
Thank you!! it was super hot haha especially when we had limited water!
