    The wearable sit-anywhere or sit while you're working chair is the best idea out of all of them. Hopefully, it works as intended. I wouldn't want to fall down on my back while holding a heavy piece of hand-held machinery.
    The black mask headphone is super lame. The bluetooth speakers are ugly. I wouldn't buy either of those even if I saw them at the dollar store selling for $1. I suppose if you owned a fishing boat made of mostly metal, the fact that they're magnetized might be helpful. But if you have a boat made of fiberglass or wood, or if the chrome on your boat was too small, you'd be out of luck. Plus, they didn't say anything about them being waterproof or weather resistant.
    The doorstop is ok, but it's nothing groundbreaking. If you're an architect, you might select that doorstop for some of the entryways you design, but there are thousands to choose from, not just door stops, but smart hinges, mechanical arms, and magnetized mechanisms. Plus, I'm not sure how you're supposed to unstop the door after it has been stopped. I can see a small little metal lip once it is stopped and I assume that's what you need to press to get the door back. But I bet this is going to leave a mark if everybody kicks that part of the door to get the door back. And it's probably no wonder they didn't demo that part in the video.
    The rickshaw hinge is nothing new either. They should make it so that you can easily pull it on a bicycle, or on a moped, as well. If they're going to try to over-engineer the device, they might as well go all the way and make it as versatile as possible.

    I have to take a door off the hinges, drill a large accurate hole in it, put it back, then drill a hole in my floor. Or just drill a small hole in a baseboard (oh wait, the builder already did this) and screw in a cheap springy doorstop? Ohhhh, let me guess what I'll do. My landlord will love me when I leave. Is there a guarantee to fix the doorknob sized hole in the sheetrock if somebody slams the door open moving furniture?

    I build custom staircases for a few different homebuilders in Texas and I can definitely see some of the high-end homebuilders I contract with using the Fantom doorstop in the homes they build. Let's face it, most doorstops are pretty unsightly especially those damn springs with a plastic cap on the end of it. I think it could be a very useful product.

    Uhhh..ok so the speakers I guess are cool, but the description is odd. When they aren't physically linked they function as standalone units, which would require both of them have independent connectivity, which would also mean that while they ARE physically linked and function as a L/R pair that technically one speaker is linked to a source and the other speaker linked to the first. Seems like a preposterous connection nightmare with no purpose. Why would you even WANT them to function as 2 wholly separate units when not physically connected? The act of separating them would create a more complete "stereo" sound effect than you would ever have with them stuck together....and as I said, the connectivity issues are sort of ridiculous...

    I don’t think The hipstar will be a success! Maybe if it was a backpack, but had poles aiming straight down with wheels for when it started to feel heavy 😉 silent mode is o.k.! Go duo is ok, but they need to develope portable Bluetooth speakers that are 200 Watts & thump! Maybe 200 watt 6” woofer Bluetooth speakers? 😀the chairless chair would be good for work, but I think it could cause more obesity if people were to use them too often! The door stop is a good & simple idea (people like simple)

  • @catsarereallyfurryaliens
    @catsarereallyfurryaliens 6 років тому +11

    I was a builder for thirty + years,fitted hundreds of various type doorstops ,,,why is it there are young people who have to overthink an invention,just for the sake of it? I mean i have NEVER seen someone trip over a doorstop? You would have to be walking a weird route to do so,UNLESS it was placed in a stupid place which is fairly hard to do surely if its to do its job? Looking at this "invention" the bracket is fixed under the door and necessitates removing the door disturbing painted hinges possibly well here in UK anyway!
    If that door was REALLY slammed the bracket would rip the bottom of the dooor off! Also in carpetted rooms that bracket would scrape the carpet and in a deep pile carpet woul be buried in the pile!
    It makes me laugh honestly ,heres an idea how about re-inventing say a lightswitch,wow eureka i know lets make it switch horizontally not vertically my god why has no-one thought of that ? (being sarcastic) but you get the idea,oh and yhat thing being towed behind a jogger , really can you not think of something clever that people might actually use in the real world?

    • @sinclap2
      @sinclap2 6 років тому

      I agree an unnecessary solution (even though quite inventive) to what I would think would be a rare problem. I Googled the price of one unit. At $30 AUS, I think I'll stick with what I already have, the novelty of them wouldn't justify the expense and effort to install them.

      Vedder Girl, There are thousands of doorstops, door jams, smart hinges, mechanical arms, some made with magnets, some magnetized and wired to electricity and the fire alarm, etc. This is an extremely crowded field. If your local store didn't have proper doorstops, it's because that store was old, or because it wasn't designed properly.

    Walabot, save your money. You'll spend more time calibrating and recalibrating with each use that a standard stud finder can do in seconds without wasted time calibrating for each use.

    It doesn't work with shorts. Actually, it kind of does and it pulls your shorts down. Don't ask how I know : (
