  • In today's tutorial I will be opening up an image in PHOTOSHOP BETA that I created in ADOBE FIREFLY. The FIREFLY image is a mountain scene done in an acrylic art style. I will expand the image and add some additional elements to it using the New Generative Fill in PHOTOSHOP BETA...

I remember when Content Aware Fill (CAF) was added to Photoshop. CAF was a game changer. Now Generative Fill is like CAF on steroids. A major, and welcome game changer. Thanks Dave to showing me how to improve my Generative Fill techniques. I am amazed how you consistently create 3 tutorials each week, and each one is amazingly wonderful and educational. Thanks Dave!!!

I see Adobe Firefly interesting, especially on the type of art you have showed today. As for real photography, I guess there's a long way to run.
    Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for this interesting and inspiring video!
However, with the current Photoshop Beta version you can create paintings much larger than 1024x1024px. I just tried it with your prompt "mountains, foothill, lake, foreground, art, acrylic painting" directly in Photoshop on an empty layer at an image size of 1920x1200px and it works without problems.
It's incredibly fascinating what is now possible. Especially since we are just experiencing the first steps.
    Best regards from Germany,
    Andreas
PS: Just tried it out: Even at 3840x2400px the whole thing works fine.

Another great video Dave. Thanks. I have Firefly beta but hesitate to download the PS beta. If I do will it be necessary to setup the TK-8 workspace that I currently use in Photoshop? Will I end up with 2 copies of PS that can be used independent of each other? Cheers.

Another great video! Thank you! Question, in Photoshop Beta is there any way to generate text with the different effects like you can in Firefly?

Question. How big a print MAXIMUM and, at what resolution could you make from this amazing feat of artistic creativity you just did done wrought? Lol

Thanks Erik. After I finish the edit I run the image into Topaz Photo Ai or Gigapixel Ai and I upscale it. This way I can get a large print. I would have no problem printing a 24 inch print on the longest side and possibly larger.

Update re my downloading conundrum and the quandary I was experiencing with Fire Fly - and which was causing a disquieting disruption of my quiet enjoyment thereof!
The problem was that I was using Firefox rather than Chrome. Just signed in on Chrome and had no problem downloading.
Apparently, there are various programs that Firefox is incompatible with and require other browsers. However, given I trust my privacy to Google about as much as I would leave a child alone in a room with anything Disney produces not being child grooming in nature?
I feel anything, basically, anything related to Google is inherently evil and look forward to when they get their wings clipped. Anyway, problem solved. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I really like Adobe's Firefly AI - much more intuitive and easy to use than DALL-E or Mid-Journey and also - one doesn't have to fear that one is going to become the target of an enterprising, ambulance chasing lawyer who comes after you for using stolen intellectual property, which given the suit Getty Photos now has against one of the AI - internet scraping (stealing) engines that is playing out in London - is not an unwarranted concern, Dave.
They must be trying to follow the UA-cam paradigm, that UA-cam used at its inception of hoping - until it was beyond risk of being curtailed - of using stolen, not licensed content to create UA-cam.
Good old Google - if it isn't nailed down - as the saying goes - "You should have known better."

Dave. Why can't I download images? I have an account but every single time I try to download it just pops up the disclaimer widow with no options. Please help me if you can. This is very frustrating. I can't be the only person having this irritating problem.
Also, EVERYTHING in on my system is working at peak specs - Photoshop.
I use Firefox as my browser. If that could have impact. I haven't tried Chrome yet. Just thought of that possibility.
