We have that life now but we don’t waste money on stupid stuff we don’t need. My wife also wants to work to help provide for our house hold. Also fellas even if the woman you are interested in is single and childless, you have to be careful. Many of them want you to support their whole family, parents, siblings and anyone else in the family who needs support. Filipinos are mostly poor so once old and can’t work they rely on their children to provide for them as their retirement plan. If a daughter snagged a foreigner then they all celebrate thinking he’s going to take care of everyone. Make sure you have that conversation in the beginning that if you have a future together, you won’t be supporting her whole family. Yet there are men and women out there, in our generation, on 5, 10, 20 years of marriage. The problem is that people don't know how to date it why they're dating anymore. Men see women as sex objects, women see men as ATMs. When you get out of that camp and actually look for a life companion (religion helps a great deal here), you'll find that many of these issues go away. We have a discernment problem, and I blame men squarely for it. Women just follow trend. Men set the trends. Don't believe me? Who created the social media the women are flocking to? Who created the OF platforms and who's consuming them? Who takes these women and lavish dates and fly them out to Dubai and ask that jazz? Who wrote the marriage laws that penalize men during divorce proceedings? Men need to stop creating the environments that create the types of women we don't like. I like this because the power resides with us still. We men need to stop treating women like prizes and this whole standoff between men and women goes away. On an individual level, that means choosing women who will be happy with what you can provide and make their friends envious of your lasting relationship (which will force them to reconsider their choices). That also means not trying to date the insta models wannabes, but the girl who's not out in the streets and instead in the library getting no attention from men.
I haven't been to the Philippines but I've been to 5 countries outside of the United States and for the most part they're all the same at their base. Different hair textures didderent skin ton different languages and dialects... They're women first pure and simple.

Same here.. Im Filipino living in the Philippines. And just by the way they dress/appear and the way they speak, they are already red flags for me. I have been watching some of the expat in the PH channels because I am thinking of retiring there some day, and the fawning by some of these content creators is so nauseating. Don’t get me wrong: there are great Filipinas. But by the way that some of these men are talking, they are prime targets for getting taken advantage of. Well, Filipinas tend to be nicer in general and more appreciative if the man does provide, but seriously, this notion that some have that the husband is to support her family, too, is laughable unless she will take care of our aging parents, too. I just turned 58 last week. The last time I even kissed a woman was three years ago and I may never kiss anybody again but I am fine with that because I have my peace my solitude my serenity and even more important than that I am happier emotionally and mentally these past few years that I ever was in my life previously and I am not going to do anything to change that. We have that life now but we don’t waste money on stupid stuff we don’t need. My wife also wants to work to help provide for our house hold. Also fellas even if the woman you are interested in is single and childless, you have to be careful. Many of them want you to support their whole family, parents, siblings and anyone else in the family who needs support. Filipinos are mostly poor so once old and can’t work they rely on their children to provide for them as their retirement plan. If a daughter snagged a foreigner then they all celebrate thinking he’s going to take care of everyone. Make sure you have that conversation in the beginning that if you have a future together, you won’t be supporting her whole family. You even have to be careful with the use of the word “emergencies” because everything will become an emergency if that’s the case.

And it comes with lots of strings attached: like charging interest, being the first one to claim his share in case of bankrupcy, taking to court in case of disagreement, expecting a solid business plan, and investing in multiple projects (women) to diversify in case one or two of them fail.
