Thank you for your video. I just replaced my 2017 MacBook Pro battery following your guide and it works perfectly. I'll now get anothet 18 months out of my old computer. Thank you so much!!
Awesome! Glad to hear it went well. Mine is still going strong. I'm using it as a file and media server and I can relate! It's nice not to have to buy another computer. Thank you!!

I think that's the same part around 20:11 that I had trouble with. The door should be open (upward position) and the cable should slide in from the left, but as I noted, I had to wiggle it some. I didn't film it but I accidentally pulled the door off thinking I didn't have it good enough.
@@EricCosner thanks! I bought this one battery, where there are such doors on the battery side as well... and I think the one I got as defective ... the brand is KingSener - and the plastic is real low quality there... it was stuck closed I think, and broke very easily ... unfortunately, I'll probably just have to buy another battery... I wonder whether there's a sane way to secure that cable with a broken 'door'
@@kobikaicalev175 you may be able to hold it in place with electrical tape, depending on whether the door just holds the cable in place or if it applies pressure to connect the cable to the pins. I know the door I was working on came off very easily, but fortunately I was able to get it back on by some miracle.
Thanks for your guidance. I only screwed up with one of the speakers 😅. Working smooth
excellent. I followed your video and replaced a new battery. perfect instructions. It is working now.
Awesome! It's quite a lot to go through! Happy to hear things went well!

hi, Is the battery original?
I'm not sure it's an OEM per se. It's been 3 months now and so far so good.
I have a issue hahah I accidentally ripped the clip the goes on the battery what is the called is the replace able or should I just get a new computer
Are you talking about the clip shown at 20:57? If so, I accidentally pulled that off as well, but was able to get it back on, but it took some time.
@@EricCosner I broke the touchbar cable but I ordered a new one I was struggling to figure out what they cable was called
I'm having trouble slider that flat cable into the new battery... Is there a trick?
