To thejazzsingers, Thank you so much for putting this on youtube. I am the only surviving member of: THE STARS OF FAITH also THE FAMOUS WARD SINGERS both of Philadelphia Pa. I am still singing the vintage gospel to the fullest extent when ever possible but unfortunately the REAL,TRUE vintage sound has become obsolete here in the USA. Somehow they think all of us are dead but I am greatful to GOD, I am still here and singing the same tunes the same way. Thanks again for remembering.

Absolutely beautiful, Lady Ford! I am not a fan of much of the current gospel music! Legends such as yourself is the bedrock of the true gospel message!

It's funny that Kitty had range she could hit notes that sopranos were belting with no problem I guess she didn't like singing high up as often as most.
It's a B flat. Basically the highest note that the amazing gospel belters like Patti LaBelle, D'Atra Hicks, Melba Moore sustain in chest voice. I love the way she jumps around, she's so filled with the music.
