Used to own a 1300cc twin carb min back in the 70s which was a little wolf in sheep's clothing. This is from another galaxy, and the look on your face! Love it.
Such a perfect car for British roads. Drive the stuffing out of these motors before they're banned! Mahalo for this precious footage of people ENJOYING themselves with automobiles! Aloha!
First!! Evening all! Hope everyone is doing well and have great week. Love the madness that Z Cars come up with. The basic space frame look awesome. The blue clubman is a fantastic project and it’s great the customer is not stopping his disability from have a cool classic mini.
The car for a wheelchair user makes me well up a bit being a wheelchair user and a mini lover.. couple of dream cars in this video fingers crossed for the lotto win 😊
Thank heavens we still have brilliant engineers who think outside “The Box” and create such iconic cars. BRILLIANT. Still have a soft spot for the original Mini, my first company car at age 22yrs was a 1275 Cooper S. my boss gave me a budget and a found a superb Cooper S. I took the S off the boot lid and he thought I had bought an 850 mini.🤭
Peter…what impressed me was the suspension because you both seemed very calm and the ride looked stable without being throw all over the place. That is more clever than the speed! I hope the viewing numbers go well! 😃😃😃😃 Richard
@@PetrolPedPeter…just back from Sidmouth and a week of 4* luxury so now is gloom…but we go back again in February! Viewer numbers….I’m sure it will improve but it must really tax your mind to think of something that will take off. I don’t see why this video should not work but it is a shame Dave found the camera so intimidating…maybe he needs to have lessons from Tiff Needel! I also missed any mention of the pricing which if not too bad, might have raised interest…but my complete guess is c£70,000 for a complete car to spec…I might be miles out??? Don’t worry though…viewers will increase as comments spread among enthusiasts.😂 😃😃😃🙏🙏🙏🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼Richard
Looks surprisingly well planted on the road. Past conversions look to be quite a handful, with the driver wrestling the controls. This looked refined and capable. The speed in which the cars behind disappeared gave us a clue in the performance.
Great video Ped. One of those, with a bog-standard looking estate body would be the ultimate sleeper and track car for me. Going to have to check down the back of the sofa to see if I can scrape together the pennies for one, I think. ❤
Einfach Wünderbar ! Serious product difficult to match ! I purchased the mini Sir Richard Branson used to clinch the Guinness world record for the most dames cramed into a classic mini cooper back in 2013 - Braamfontein Johanesburg South Africa. Alas the same ladies can no longer repeat the feat. Fantastic creations Dave and Co.
I wonder what the owner of the BMW mini made of that when it came up the slip road and flew past 😂 My classic mini only has 50 bhp but is still great fun to drive. These cars are absolutely stunning works of engineering art but I think I would get into a lot of trouble very quickly in one. Not that I could afford one!
Used to watch these guys 20 years ago when Bill Sollis took a few out with Ian Stent. Twin R1 and Busa engine ones. For me it would have to be a high revving VTEC Type R all day long for them revs. Once you've driven VTEC it's just so much more rewarding than a big lazy turbo. Great cars though. Cracking video Pete. Oh also loving the Drive Torque podcast. 💪
Defiantly a market for this. I live next to the Morgan factory and those guys are doing very well considering its such a small factory. They have the big parts outsourced and essentially just bolt it together. Z cars could easily do the same, have carbon fibre shells pre made for them, just make the chasis in house from pre bent bars, slap an off the shelf engine in there and a bispoke management system. Its the way to do it for sure. Could do that with electric also. For the mini its easy there are many places making replacement shells in all materials. That car the owner has is perfection love it.
Ped, you need to persuade him to let Misha at the Nurburgring have a go. That would make some epic content, seeing it perform on a track like that. Definitely want my own version, wouldn't have the money without winning the lottery, lol.
Another great vlog Pedro hopefully your vlog showing the towing capacity of the electric vehicle where you use the Mercedes towing the caravan and 100 mile round trip gets a few more views as other vloggers have had comments suggesting this so have said to watch your vlog on this so hopefully they have but keep up the good vlogs 😊😊😊
Brilliant, these types of videos are great. It's good to see what goes on under the covers, the engineering is excellent. Couldn't you have got it on a track? I wonder how many times this chap has been pulled over by the police. Not for speeding ofcourse, but just to have a look it and ask questions!
Would have loved to see the expression on the faces of the other drivers (especially the red MINI) on the motorway as you shot past them. Effortless and, as you said, totally bonkers!!
I’ve never driven a mini but that much power in such a small car I would be 💩💩 myself just think off no safety built in the car like modern cars of today ie airbags side beams etc unbelievable car great review 👍
I remember replacing a red top for an old Mate of mine rewarded with a drive up To the Birmingham mini 50 th anniversary wow z cars had done amazing work on that car too amazing
Your face when you accelerate 😂, Daves not a talker is he 😅 and the way the car in the rear view disappears as you give it some , awesome cars and now I really want one
HI all, have to say that setup look amazing and the way they are using there experties to creat and work with all peoples needs. Is that mini actually road leagal !!
Chris Allanson, the real brains behind Z Cars. He raced very successfully in National Autograss Racing. As did Roy Millington, whose engines are used in the MST vehicles and many more. There's some very good UA-cam content on the series now. Class 5, 7 and 8 are worth checking out.
You need to check out some of BBR GTI's MX5 builds, i have got a 300+bhp version, it could be more as the engine is fully forged but wanted to keep it half sensible as it's a road car. ps. the owner of the first Z car mini you drove lives about 50 meters from me.
All of the zed cars and builds have been amazing. Great video! Thank you zed cars for letting Sir Pete do these videos with your cars! Darn it Sir Pete your making me want a mini lol
Bro, I have noticed a problem. I noticed on UA-cam that most of the modifications use r1 or hayabusa engines. I have never seen Ducati V4 or other v4 engines mounted on them. Is it because the V4 is not suitable for the car or is there some other problem?

Hei I am very impressed with that mini , could you please tell more about the coilovers , where did you get them because i have a light car as yours but i dont what coilovers to get for a 700 kg car .
I'd love a classic mini with a tastefully understated but modernized exterior and a turbo awd drivetrain underneath. Their shop would be a dream job for me, even if it were just sweeping the floors.

Yes and considering how small the wheels are on a mini the way the car tracks down the motorway in such a smooth controld manner was impressive 😊

You are onto something there. I wonder what options we have here in Oz as a hot Mini is my retirement lego project.
I'd have the bog standard estate, widebody 😂 with AWD 🤗
Z Cars are the OG's of this and im happy to see they are still going strong. Ive been a fan since the 1st web page appeared

I've had 10 Mini's... When I was 16-20 years old. from the N.E of England, all my friends had one.. This is next level!!! WANT ONE !!!!!!!!!

Wow,that thing is a beast.Well tamed behind the wheel.Great vid.

Got to be the best mini I’ve ever seen, the sound, everything about it is top notch, only thing I’d change is the front to a Clubman cause I love em.
👍
When watching this video from the beginning till the end, I had a big fat smile on my face. God, I love those cars!
