▼ The iCube Pro | The Desktop laser for makers & crafters

This is the Sculpfun iCube Pro (5 Watt) and I love it.
It's a small sized machine with a true 5-Watt laser, also available in 3- or 10-Watt versions. This laser is quick, it's powerful and it can work from your computer (Lightburn or LaserGRBL) or your Phone with dedicated software.

Wat zou het verschil zijn tussen de 5 en 10 watt? Ik wil het gebruiken voor snijden

Dat is moeilijk te zeggen.
Het is in elk geval niet zo dat je 2x zo diep kunt snijden, denk eerder aan een millimeter extra diep, o.i.d.
Hoe meer vermogen een diode laser heeft, hoe groter de projectie wordt qua oppervlak, en hoe groter de projectie, hoe minder geconcentreerd het licht word omgezet in warmte, en dus snijkracht.
Ik weet echter van deze fabrikant niet hoe goed (effectief) hun 10 Watt lasers zijn, dus een heel specifieke uitspraak durf ik hierover niet te doen.

Hi I ordered the 10 w pro is the bed the same size for your drop in as the 3 and 5w? It looks like different engraving area. I wanted to make the board from my larger Laser while I wait for it to come in

As I understand the only difference is in the module, so the rest is exactly the same.

how do you know where it is engraving? Do you use the software to tell the laser where on the grid to print

Hi, thank for your reply.
As you can see in the video, I made a bed for the laser with a grid.
With this bed and grid it's very easy to position any engraving to any object.

Can you laser plastic keyboard caps using this machine comrade ?

Yes you can, but I wouldn't do it, at least not inside your house.
Engraving plastics is extremely toxic and can really harm you.
