- The left foot of Martin Odegaard made all the difference as we chalked up back-to-back 1-0 wins in the Premier League.
On a hot and sunny afternoon at Turf Moor, the Norwegian midfielder sent a perfectly-placed free-kick beyond the grasp of Nick Pope to seal victory for Mikel Arteta's side.
We started the faster of the two sides, with a dangerous low ball from Kieran Tierney threatening the Burnley goal as Nicolas Pepe forced Pope into action.
The hosts threatened sparingly. Ben Mee headed over Aaron Ramsdale's goal from a corner, before Gudmundsson's strike was saved by our new stopper.
Emile Smith Rowe threatened to score a second when he connected with Pepe's cut-back, but his curling effort whizzed narrowly over Pope's crossbar.
The second half brought more opportunities for the Clarets than the first, with Ramsdale forced into action to deny a powerful strike from Maxwel Cornet after the Ivorian international stepped off the bench.
Our goalkeeper was in the thick of the action again soon after, when he was adjudged to have tripped Matej Vydra in the box after a backpass from Ben White.
However, a VAR review quickly corrected the situation - much to the relief of the travelling support - and no penalty was awarded.
Dwight McNeil then drilled a low shot into the side-netting, while Vydra flicked a header just beyond the far post soon after.
Frustration grew in the ground as Sean Dyche's side attempted to battle their way back into the game. Despite a late spell of pressure and a couple of forced nervy moments, our defence stood firm in the face of waves of Burnley attacks.
The victory marks consecutive clean sheets and sees us continue to build some much-needed positive momentum ahead of next weekend's north London derby.

Tomiyasu was great today unlike hector he had solid positioning great passes and total composure when on the ball
and ODEGAARD did good too cuz if it was Auba or Pepe taking that free kick then i would have predicted it would be so far away from the net.

Really impressed with how Tomiyasu, Ramsdale and Gabriel can play under pressure. Also, Ben White needs to work a lot more on his confidence, true fans will understand he's just being nervous for his price tag, he'll improve !
And Partey, he's got nothing else to prove, just world class !
Always surprises me when VAR works in our favor. Even the commentators wanted it to be a penalty so badly. Thats aside great performance from the new signings 👍

Love the team Mikel's building with the likes of Ramsdale, Gabriel, Tomi, Partey, Ødegaard, etc. Players you know will always give their all and change the mentality at this club. This is the only way forward for us. We must be patient and back the young lads always.

Pepe is a major attacking threat and has been playing well the past few games, yes both Auba and Pepe are a bit off the mark at times, but the improvement is there. Spending 72 million on Pepe only to sell him 2 or 3 seasons after makes no sense, we'll get no profit nor will it be a good signing. Knowing Arteta if Auba were to be sold he'd bring in a Midtable attacker in Abraham. We need improvement, and that starts from the manager. I'm already strongly Arteta Out but I consider the possibility of giving him until Christmas to pattern tf up and get us results and back into the threatening Arsenal we were 4 years ago.

Indeed they do, just remember both of them still under 20 for most and both of them did serious work to make sure they can play their position greatly as support to finisher. Next is your request
Gabriel was a man mountain, Ramsdale was impressive, Tomiyasu was on job and Ødegaard ran the first half. The front 3 were poor. Ben White does not convince at all especially for a 50m price tag. The ability to keep Partey and Tierney on pitch is already a big concern and Tierney has not started the season well.
Tierney has been very good this season I don’t agree. The number of chances he’s created

I personally think the front 3 suits Laca more than Auba. His combination play with Saka and ESR is terrific. We saw that last season.

You can see that the team is gradually coming into place. They're mastering the new style of play bit by bit. Soon enough we'll become unstoppable if we continue like this. Tomiyasu and Gabriel have proven themselves to be very vital players

Apparently the pitch was too dry. I’m inclined to believe them as I watched the Real v Levante game and the ball was behaving similarly. Lo and behold, the grass wasn’t rooted or watered properly.

One bad pass could cost the whole game. So heart attacking moments he produced. He was not so bad but that pass is so crucially bad.

Honestly, im so sad when we sign Aaron Ramsdale.. because I want someone who is like Emi or better than him.. but after his 2 game, I think he gonna bench Leno for the entire season.. he has a huge character, passion & desire to play for this club.. and right now, he is my most favorite player in our current squad alongside Ødegaard.. Please play him vs Spurs..

Ødegaard only 22 years old and still in the very beginning of his arsenal career. Imagine him when he has 3 solid premier league season under his belt. He may not hit his prime until late 20s.
He will captain this team before long.
