Video's like this are why this channel is the best bass fishing channel out there.. great video Johnny
Glad you enjoy it!
When I see such large unbroken schools of shad, I typically don't see active bass. My experience tells me that more broken up balls of shad are an indication of feeding bass.
great insight! I definitely agree.
Toledo Bend is not a “Texas” lake it boarders Texas and Louisiana and most is on the Louisiana side. Just an FYI.
Johnnie does a great job teaching ,no offense to him but I'm glad I'm not a tournament fisherman because I have no desire to fish like that. Since I fish for fun I don't have to.
Haha I agree with you. Not my favorite way to fish, but I like to teach about these techniques for those who are interested.
That brilliant strategy was about as boring to watch as it gets. Pro tournament fishing is in big trouble if that’s the future…….extremely boring to watch and when these guys talk it’s like listening to a used-car salesman starring in a 1990’s infomercial
On Toledo Bend!!!!
Pitiful
What type of fishing is exciting to watch for you?
Oh my god the whining is comical whats the difference between this and early 2000’s fishing you're just looking at dudes back for 95% of the day what's the difference of him looking at a screen
@@codycampbellfishing2007 and it's on nearly every video that mentions FFS. you nailed it
Totally agree. Let’s have a whole tournament season where they fish for post spawn fish with no FFS. or no electronics period. Then we’ll see who the best fishermen are.
Thanks for the video and you will always have someone complain about something. Not being a professional angler, I appreciate your work.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
It seems that the deep dive app is a bit outdated. It is based on old tournaments of the past. This is a new date and time and the app doesn’t reflect modern tournaments. I have never seen Dustin way of fishing shown on the app.🤔
We are updating tournament data on an ongoing basis. There were relatively few top 10 finishes with Damiki rigs until this year, so the app's recommendations will adjust as we add data from these recent tournaments. We just haven't added them yet because the tournament happened 2 weeks ago.
Megabass hazedong straight tail ? That’s new to me 👀 I throw the Shad’s but I’ve never seen them straight tails
it's pretty legit!
Pretty sure you had this video on mlf live the other day. Thought that was awesome!!
Thanks!
Wow! As a lifelong fisherman, I really enjoy watching some catch big fish and catching them myself. It doesn’t matter what bait they use or what type electronics. The fish have evolved over the years and we fisherman need to evolve with them. Super video Johnny!!
Thanks for watching!
Garmin needs to step their game up. The picture quality for ffs is not very good any more. Maybe it’s just the palette you choose but AT2 is crystal clear in comparison. Just my .02
Great insightful analysis as always ... was wondering if you still plan to put together your settings for HELIX G4N units as well as MegeLive and offer them for sale on your website?
While there is a factor of shad congregating in clearer water and bass targeting them, the majority of the technique was forward facing sonar. Without FFS they wouldn't have found the bass so easily.
Love this but I am seeing major lakes with water clarity 4-7 days ago as the current estimate. Don’t seem helpful.
Is that a Garmin FFS unit you are using. If so what graph model and what size. Thank you for your help.
What a great video. Thank you so much Jonny. It gives me a lot inspiration to fishing my home lake in China.❤❤❤
I refuse to watch any videos that focus on FFS. It's cheating and should be banned from tourneys.
This strategy is awesome 👏
For sure!
Love the video and your editing processing is awesome! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I guess watching this can be boring sometimes but so was school but long as you’re learning something it’s free lessons especially when you don’t have live scope your are at least learning new areas to for different reasons from the guys with live along with how to use live if you ever hit the lotto and can afford it 😂
The first part of this video was the best post game analysis I've ever seen for our sport. Your knowledge, and the tool you've built with Deepdive is something to truly be proud of. I fish kayak tournaments, and don't have Livescope, but I still found the 2nd half of the video extremely helpful. Plus, I know that creek so that makesit even more fun to watch. I'm proud that you're a local guy here. I'd be stoked with that bag. Thanks for your teaching .
Glad it helped
Y’all all trying to stack them boats in one creek. Poor bass on banks going to be beat to death in that creek. 😂
Jonny, I've learned much from your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Glad to help
Saw a long video where he goes over how he was tightening the freeloader bait for this as well.
Love your videos kind sir. Technology always improves whatever field in which it is employed and this is a perfect example of this process. That said, FFS is here to stay and can make a tough day of fishing productive. However, you give a "fishing PHD" perspective to fill in the gaps I cannot. MUCH appreciated! I have learned so much from your videos and respect your hard work in editing and presenting . IMHO, you are the best there is in defining and educating complicated bass fishing strats on You Tube. Thank you for your videos. Keep it up.
Glad the video was helpful!
It's not boring if you have desire to learn a new skill
Great video Johnny. Enjoyed the process on finding the bass.
Glad you enjoyed it
👍👍👍👍👍
Best videos on the web!!!
Love these instructional videos!! Please keep them coming!!
Also, what graph and trolling motor combo would you buy if you were getting a new setup?
I don’t think you get enough likes Thank u
If live in Illinois n. And fish southern wis.wilĺ the DEEP Dive aapp. Cover those lakes
Another really good video. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
@ 24:35 that sure doesn't look like a Hazedong shad. Hazedong's have a small paddle tail.
It's the Megabsss Hazedong Worm. Megabass just calls it the "Hazedong" on their packaging. The "Hazedong Shad" is a swimbait with a paddle tail like you mentioned. 2 different baits with similar names.
@@FishtheMoment yep, that’s it. I didn’t think about the worm. Thanks for the reply!
Another outstanding presentation Johnny!
Glad you enjoyed!
Going to follow your lead on this next time I get on the lake. Thanks for sharing!
Great educational video.
Thanks for watching!
Whadaaaiiiiirrrr
You are the man . Thanks for the instruction . Great video
Not boring to us that are having trouble with sonar . Keep up the good teaching
The creek got clear in the creeks bc they were generating so much water on the south end.
Absolutely awesome!! All the steps set out clearly. Really appreciate it!! Was the key to the clearer water being more rocky inflows than other areas. On a new or unfamiliar lake, can you predict which inflows are going to be less dirty or do you just have to go look? Will the Deep Dive App differentiate for me? I use it already, especially for wind effects. Thanks again!!
You can look at historic water clarity over the past 30 days and see which creeks get clear or dirty water after it rains. You can then predict how the clarity will change after it rains.
Nothing like watching dudes play ESports on sponsored bass boat rigs using $30k+ worth of sonar and screens.
He is in a 18' boat with 150HP.
How long did you take to ride around the creek Chanel, before you started to actually fish for them .😊
I graphed for 30-45 minutes before dropping the trolling motor
Thanks. Like you getting out on the lake fot description.
Glad you enjoyed!
great stuff.👍
Great informative video as always Johnny.
Glad you enjoyed it!
FFS won! DC just caught fish that he could see! Pathetic!
Sounds like a comment from someone who can’t afford LS 😮
@@ronalddills4566 Or people don't want to watch a bunch of grown men playing playing ESports on their 100+k sponsored boats
@@ronalddills4566 Nope, I can afford 100 of em’ … you sound like someone who couldn’t catch a bass without it!
@@poststalone1496 YEP!
What would you have done to catch those fish? Interested in some other view on the way to fish for suspended fish. Thanks in advance for an open minded opinion.
I don’t comment on videos often, but I just wanted to say that this was one of the best and most eye opening videos I have seen in a while. I’m usually a “Look for the cleanest water” guy. I will definitely be looking for this on the water in the future.
Glad you enjoyed it!
