Hi there Mushira. So glad you enjoyed this video. And yes, I am happy to make more videos on the Small Barrel exercises - I love them! Stay tuned and thank you so much for watching :)
Andrea Maida I tried the exercises last night and I feel the difference in my lower back already.. will keep doing them as often as I can. Thank you and looking forward to see more videos :)
Oh I am so happy to hear the exercises are helping you!! Yay! Yes when my back is still it's helpful to do them daily at least of not morning and evening. Thank you for watching and yes, there will be more videos like this one!
Hi Andrea, You're so knowledgeable and a fan of the barrels and I'm thinking of saving up and buying a Gratz one, so I'd like to get your opinion on how to decide whether to buy a small barrel or a spine corrector. I just binge-watched all (I think) of your barrel videos and you mentioned in one that the small barrel is often better for petite/shorter people, I am tall (5'7) and flexible in my lower body (hamstrings/psoas) but I'd like to become more open in my back and torso. (Note: I own a reformer/long box--I'm not sure if that will affect your opinion). Thanks so much!
Hey there - me again. If you can only get one of the Gratz barrels right now, I would get the Spine Corrector. There are some exercises you can do on it that can't be done on the Small Barrel (like the Teasers!). I am not sure what you mean by your owning a Long Box, sorry, please clarify. And really you can't go wrong with either barrel, and it will last forever :) Thank you so much for watching Linda and keep up the good work! And thank you for binge watching my barrel videos!! xox
@@PilatesAndrea Hi Andrea. Thanks for the suggestion. I was leaning toward the spine corrector so now I'll go for it. FYI,. I was trying to refer to the box we use for long/short box series on the reformer (I think some apparatus companies sell it separately from the reformer--i'm not sure if contemporary pilates people use it on the mat or on other apparatuses. I've only used it on the reformer).
Oh now I understand - yes I have always experienced the box coming with the Reformer - although I think you are right maybe some home reformers have it as an add on accessory... got it. And yay! Spine Corrector! I bought mine first too - and then later got the Small Barrel. win win!
Hi Jill, Thank you so much for watching. The barrel I have in the video is the Small Barrel from Gratz Pilates - here is the link: www.pilates-gratz.com/products/small-mini-barrel If you decide to purchase please let them know I sent you. I don't receive any compensation for it, but I like them to know I refer people to them. (full disclosure :) I love it and I hope you will too. xox
Hi Paulie, thanks for your question - it is a good one. There are several factors to consider during the second trimester of your pregnancy - and by the way - congratulations! Sometimes lying on your back over many exercises will not be advisable at a certain point in your pregnancy... and also the more the belly grows it may be hard to remain active in your abdominals and your back in the extended position of the exercises in this video. That being said - these would be great exercises to do after you have delivered and are back to exercising. The inverted position like the thumbnail photo is very restorative to help the organs return to their pre-pregnancy locations shall we say. Do consult your doctor and I would also advise working with an instructor to help you on your Pilates and pregnancy journey - which I am sure you probably are doing as well. Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your thoughts and questions here with us. Cheers to you! xox
@@PilatesAndrea Hi Andrea! Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you took the time to write a kind and insightful reply! I do find it difficult and try to at least do some other moves but will keep in mind to do these after my labour to rebuild by core and back muscles! Thank you and all the best! - P
This is what I need!! Thanks Andrea :) I will try it out today. Can you make more videos on different exercises for the small barrel please?

I really enjoyed the ladder barrel,I think I might have heard a pretty good vinyl squeak from your foot on the barrel ❤️❤️😉
No doubt :)
