+RolyUnGashaa Dude that Kirby game was a T ton of fun and un heard of with that type of play. I completely forgot I even owned it till this list. The game was satisfyingly hard also (for a 10 year old) which made it all the better. God I miss my old GBC.

The fact that it's purple is a selling point too. There are a ton of original game boy games on ebay for cheap. Just today I ordered Kirby's Dreamland for $7. That's with the shipping. Now I need to get some GBC games since I have never played any of them. The Bionic comando game mentioned on this video looks pretty sweet. I think I will have to get that tilting Kirby game too.
I love the two zelda games on this list. I have re-played them so many times and never get tired of doing it. In my opinion those two are the best gameboy color games
Fully agreed. To me, the two games (I consider them as one) top all the zelda games to GC days (I haven't played anything past that). Yes, that includes LttP, OoT, WW, and TP.

Those Harry Potter RPG games for GBC were amazing (Chamber of the Secrets even better than Sorcerer's Stone). Unexpectedly well done, and funny to play, should be on the list in my opinion.
I discovered Shantae only some days ago and I can't understand how most people don't know this beautiful pearl of a game. It's fun and pretty challenging. Love it!
" so I can count every single pixel individually". Naw, so you don't have to sit hunched over a tiny ass screen for longer RPGs like Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons or Pokemon Silver. And these things hold their value as long as you take care of them. Authentic GBC games are not being produced anymore so the prices will not drop.
Survival Kids, Legend of the River King, Lufia, Magination. There were an insane amount of amazing games for a portable 8-BIT system from the 90's. Plus the GBC sprites hold the same charm to me as NES, and SNES graphics.
Ah, the Game Boy Color. I remember playing Pokémon Gold on my gold/silver Pokémon GBC on every single vacation I went on as a kid. That really was the life. Thanks for the great memories, Nintendo. ❤
mario golf on gbc was awesome - the RPG elements made it really stand out against the other golf games. I'm surprised it didn't get a mention as a result.
+Killua Zoldyck (Kyle The Killua Cosplayer) - I was stuck on II, as I never had a GBC, and when 4 came out, I had sorta forgotten about Wario... I don't even think I ever beat II.

2 regions? 16 gyms? 250+ pokemon? 2 new types? genders? breeding? hold items? interface revision? Vastly improved battle mechanics? Awesome music? Day and night cycles? Game that defined a generation? Check and Mate! Battery that eventually died and ruined your save file tho.....

I'm glad both of the Legend of Zelda games from the "Oracle Saga" got on this list. I have the original Game Paks. Always loved starting off in Oracle of Ages and continuing with a Linked Game in Oracle of Seasons. In Oracle of Ages, Link is once again the Hero of Time. Not to mention the Oracle in that game shares the same name as Hyrule's Goddess of Wisdom. When I continue in Oracle of Seasons, I got to see some of the changes that come from doing a Linked Game. The sword and shield are the only items with an actual displayable level that can be upgraded to Level 3. The Level 3 Sword is none other than the Master Sword. The only weapon that can hurt the TRUE final boss without charging a Spin Attack. I always use the upgrade password for the sword at the earliest opportunity. Doing so in a Linked Game gives the Level 2 Sword, known as the Noble Sword, earlier than in a Non-Linked Game. Wherever the Noble Sword would have been originally would have the Master Sword instead. One of the reasons why I like playing a Linked Game of Oracle of Seasons. Cause the location of the Noble Sword in a normal game will house the Master Sword; sleeping in a pedestal. Getting the Master Sword that way can make an easy "A Link to the Past" reference considering the area it's found in is known as the "Lost Woods".
I got Silver for my Gameboy Color (Gameboy was for my birthday too) for my birthday when I was younger. During the many times i've had to move I lost it the last time we moved. I actually cried. I was 18 then. I'm 23 now. So many memories.
just downloaded the gbc emulator for my cell phone. Thanks for the list. I remember playing gbc back in the day, I just couldn't think of any games besides Kirby, Pokémon, and Mario
Pokemon Pinball was the first game I've ever played that introduced me to rage as a kid. That game started it all...Never have I tossed a controller/console so hard in my life.
I'm glad Dragon Warrior Monsters was mentioned, it is hands down my favorite gameboy game. It was so much better than pokemon in my opinion. It had a complex breeding system that pokemon still hasn't even come close to, and there was tons of replayability to the game.
I used to have so much fun playing Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons and Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal along with Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening as a kid.
Pokémon Trading Card Game deserves the first place for many reasons: music, history, graphics, animation and the most important all pokémon collection in ONE CARTIDGE!!!
Man this brings me back to Xmas 98'... I remember ripping that paper off the box and seeing that Lime Green GBC, then right after opening Pokemon Yellow! As soon as my sister and I were done opening our gifts we were told we had to go get ready to head to grandmas house.... 2 hrs away! I was sooooo irritated, UNTIL I realized I had 2 hrs of uninterrupted playtime. My parents bought a whole barrel of batteries that year too. It was gaming heaven. By the time we'd gotten back home that night my Pikachu was a level 71! All my other pokemon were level 5 LOL... My second favorite Christmas ever
Oracle of Ages was a blast. Seasons was great too, and I liked how both games were sold with different play styles in mind, with Ages being oriented more for players who like puzzles and Seasons more about murdering things, but between the two I think I liked Ages better (even if Din was hotter [No love for Farore in this world?]). I liked the time mechanic, I loved the tools, I wasn't stuck with Ricky and got the lil badass Dimitri instead (I know now that certain elements change who you get). The bosses felt a tad more satisfying. It was just a ton of fun. Also, it's final boss didn't make me rip my hair out because of how bloody HARD she was (for my child brain). And speaking of hair, ever since the Smash Ballot (and with it, my researching of dearest Shovel Knight's rivals), I've been looking into getting Shantae. Looks like a lot of fun, especially the Pirate's Curse (title?) one. Looked like a lot of hilarious, fanservice-y fun. But I figure if I'm gonna get all 3 (?) games, I may wish to play the first one first. My friend got it on a whim long ago and said "eh, it's alright" but I think it could be worth getting. So I ask you, the reader of my long post, can Shantae be got on the WiiU, or must I get it on the 3DS? I know game #3(?) is on the WiiU, but I figure I'd get em all on the same system, if possible.
I remember playing Gold, Silver, and Crystal so much. And I wasn't even AROUND during the time of these games! I used to play the game all the time though on my grandpa's computer on a sight called Playr, which has unfortunately been shut down. But nonetheless, I had so much nostalgia playing those games! I don't know what it was, but there was something about the music, the environment, and the overall vibe that made me believe it to be better than HGSS in my opinion. And I feel like the remakes are a great remaster of the original games, but I will always love the originals more regardless.
I swear to God, the GameBoy Color and its games make me cry for whatever reason, but it's a happy crying like it's nostalgic I miss this era of Nintendo :(

Oracle of the Ages is one of the most underrated games of all times. When it comes to the Zelda series that is always the forgotten one. I would love a remake of it soon!!!
Although Shantae should have been higher, I'm just happy it even featured on this list. It's a damn impressive game for the GBC. Graphics and music are excellent. Gameplay is varied thanks to the genie transformations and "mini-games" like the dancing in the towns, the race with RottyTops, etc. Yes, the enemies can be stingy with dropping the in-game currency, and sometimes it's a bit "where the hell do I go?!", but I believe that is counteracted by the fact that Shantae herself is one of the most likable leads in any game and that the entire game has a very cheerful and friendly almost "Mario-esque" charm to it.
Dragon warrior monsters!!!!! Man I used to play that game ALL day long. Favorite video game of all time. The second one tara's or cobi's adventure was just as good. Thought the first one should have made the top 10.
Even though Crystal is the best Pokemon game, my favourite will always be Silver. It was my first Pokemon game and I have so many memories of it, I still even remember the day I first got it over 16 years ago.
I almost cried the day my Pokemon Silkver died, but it was okay, I still had Crystal. But when crystal died two years ago, maaan that was a really sad day. All those others and shinies gone. Forever. It's still a little sad to think about.
WTH? MGS was on the Game Boy Color!? I had NO IDEA whatsoever...... Anyway, I used to have Pokémon Crystal o3o I actually beat that game! Got all 16 Badges, beat the Elite 4 and their Champion AND Trainer Red!......I miss playing Pokémon Crystal ;.;

I agree with you Shantae should be at Number 1 because Shantae is Number 1.
The Half-Genie herself is also Number 1.
The sad part about g/s/c is that it can’t hold a save file because of the damn day and night cycle
Dragon warrior monsters!!!!! Man I used to play that game ALL day long. Favorite video game of all time. The second one tara's or cobi's adventure was just as good. Thought the first one should have made the top 10.
Great choice for number 1
I was thinking of buying a game boy colour and now i know what games are on there I'm DEFINITELY gonna buy one
I was in the same boat as you. Got it on Ebay! :)
Lufia the legend returns should be on the list

This one of the more COLORful watchmojo videos.
Game & Watch Gallery 2 was one of the coolest games I played on the Gameboy Color. It had fun and addictive minigames that had me hooked.
Yeah Shantae! That game is AWESOME! Also Bomberman Quest is in the honorable mentions I love that game!
I agree with this list and I like how you put WL3 at #3!
What a coincidence! :)
Whose here cause apple finally let have our fun
I have a real Fnf but I only have Pokemon rby
Never would of thought that they would even mention, Wario Land 3. Such a classic.
Dragon Warrior 3 was amazing I want a remake :(
Finally a video on my first handheld the GB Color!
Pokemon Crystal, first game i ever got
Same
Even though Crystal is the best Pokemon game, my favourite will always be Silver. It was my first Pokemon game and I have so many memories of it, I still even remember the day I first got it over 16 years ago.
Pokemon is all time number 1 game ever. My favorite game.
1. Pokemon your right 👌
2. Oracle of seasons no doubt about! :D
3. Warioland
4. Oracle of ages
So you are nearly right :P
Gold and silver was my first Pokemon game, so nothing ever got to feel the same
I almost cried the day my Pokemon Silkver died, but it was okay, I still had Crystal. But when crystal died two years ago, maaan that was a really sad day. All those others and shinies gone. Forever. It's still a little sad to think about.
WTH? MGS was on the Game Boy Color!? I had NO IDEA whatsoever......
Anyway, I used to have Pokémon Crystal o3o I actually beat that game! Got all 16 Badges, beat the Elite 4 and their Champion AND Trainer Red!......I miss playing Pokémon Crystal ;.;
very good list!
You forgot to include Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
Joseph Romano I love that game
Oracle of Ages and Gold/Silver are my favorite entries from their respective series
What about Mario Land or Mario Deluxe? :(
Thoes are fantastic games.
