Thank you for your continuing uploads! I've never played this but some of the audio sounds familiar; maybe I've heard something like it in another Namco game.
Incredibly fascinating. I wonder what MAME version runs this game the best, since it's been a real problem child, emulation-wise, from what I've heard. mamedev says that 0.119u1 runs it with full 3d, but I've also heard that more recent builds tend to crash a few minutes in, and that 0.90-something are the only ones that can run it entirely, albeit with broken 3d emulation (you apparently need to repeatedly unblock the pipeline). There is also a virtual console release, that I could just put on my Wii but... I like playing on PC lol. It's not a pressing matter, I can live with just this video or playing through VC Arcade, I just found out about it while reading up on Xevious trivia since I'm playing Xev for the first time in a couple of decades. Fun game, I don't understand why some westerners dislike it, other than maybe Seinfeld syndrome. A bit too surpassed by what came after for some to enjoy, in other words. Ironically, I do like Seinfeld and Xevious either way. Fake Edit: Actually looking it up it seems to run okayish on Dolphin, through VC Arcade, there were graphical issues but they were fixed in devbuild v5.0-7714. Either way, love this superplay, it feels like a mid 80s-early 90s CG demo (which, it is from 1992 but). Has a very comforting feel to it.
I discovered this game after hearing it inspired Star Fox. With that said, I had no idea that the Solvalou ship was 22 m (~72 ft). I was pretty sure it was only, like, 10 feet long. That thing's bigger than a semi truck or an Abrams tank.
@@mr.business2922 Some of those machines (I think it's called Andor-Genesis for example) were a good 20x Godzilla's size. Like, literally the size of a city. That's crazy.
For those of you prone to epileptic seizures, you were stunning and brave to visit today.
Man this entire video has a strange dreamy ethereal feeling. Love it.
even the original xevious arcade game gave me those kind of vibes
@@jp9403 Oh that's cool. I'll have to check that out.

The melody from Xevious?
Starblade?
If you don't have epilepsy, you will now!! I love it, so well done.
I have epilepsy, but now after this, I won't have it!! Hahahaha
Namco needs to re-release this
I love this 90s low-poly aesthetic here😍✨
