I’ve been in you situation as well but I put the straps looped end through the receiver and put the hitch pin through it and pulled a vehicle out just fine so just in case always have an extra hitch pin handy

It’s cross drilled do you can take the hitch out and flip it 90 degrees so the d ring is vertical

Good idea! By personal experience, you never want to tie a knot in a nylon tow strap. Only way to remove it after a tow load is cutting.

Way better than using the loading eye that threads into the bumper if you ever need a tow on a flatbed too.

Go to harbor freight or some discount hardware store get a regular draw bar without a ball hitch and put a regular hardware store clevis hitch on that. Same thing probably cheaper.
I don't even know why you would want the clevis anyway. I have pulled lots of cars and trucks out just by putting a snatch strap over the ball hitch. 😀

I saw one video where somebody put the snatch strap directly into the receiver and put the hitch pin through it. They didn't even use the draw bar.
