  • Marisa Weiss, M.D., Breastcancer.org chief medical officer, spoke with Lynn Jeffers, M.D., MBA, FACS, and Anne Peled, M.D. about their experience as dual citizens - both doctors and breast cancer patients. All three women have had breast cancer, which has influenced how they help and support their patients with firsthand knowledge of a diagnosis and treatment.
The doctors share what they learned during that transformative chapter in their lives, and provide tips encouraging everyone to be an active part of their own care. They discussed ideas for how someone can improve communication with their doctors, prepare for appointments, be involved in shared-decision making, and advocate for their needs.
Special thanks to Merck for sponsoring this webinar.

Thank you for this highly informative video. Thank you Doctors for caring for others and for saving lives. I’m facing my first appointment with the surgeon for a early detected breast cancer. I’m truly encouraged and my confidence has been increased by your transparency.
Continued Blessings of Health and Strength!💛

Thank you so much. I registered for the webinar on
Thursday and was so disappointed that I had to miss it and was surprised that it appeared again on my email and am so grateful that I was able to see it today. So much excellent information.
