Rich has this very direct and brilliant way of presenting himself. More of his work on mentalism please!!
This is a simplified version of “Stolen Cards”- one of my favorite self-working magic effects of all-time by Lennart Green. In his version, there is so much magic happening. The premise of the effect is you collect all kinds of different cards from all different casino’s across the world. You spread the deck face down showing.that every back is different. (Different colors, different designs, different casino names, etc. you call attention to the fact that you have 2 cards, your lucky cards-face up in the face down deck right next to each other (queens). You already have the 2 matching queens face down right next to the face up queens. Remove the face up queens and cut the deck bringing the other 2 queens to the top and bottom. You can deal or hand the cards to the spectator and they can deal. Tell them to deal slowly and stop wherever they want. (They never go past 25)). They stop dealing, you mark it with the face up queen (remember to keep the queens together when you set it up (2 reds, 2 blacks) so when you mark the point where he/she stopped they will be either both reds or both blacks. Drop rest of deck on top, then repeat. Now here is the kickers- when you spread the deck and pull out the cards the first thing you see is that the 2 face down cards on top of each queen both have the same back design, one red and one blue! Then you turn the face up queen face down and both backs match! The same design AND the same color. You do the same thing with the other face up queen. Same result. But the crowd goes nuts when you turn all of the cards face up and it’s all 4 queens matching exactly! Just when they think the effect is over, you tell the spectator(s) that they are lucky they stopped when they did, because if they stopped anywhere else the effect would NOT have worked. Why??? Because then you turn the entire deck face up and spread them across the table or in your hands, you will notice that the ENTIRE deck is all blank on the faces. If they stopped anywhere else the effect would have failed! Sorry guys about the long description, but this effect is a MUST HAVE for any magician- beginner OR expert!

I love Rich's mentalism tricks, even the trickier ones. But this is SO EASY! Love it.

I followed how he got the cards next to the locator card. What I didn't see was how he put the cards on the top and bottom. There are many ways to do that, but I didn't spot it live.

Rich doesn't teach the exact method he used in his performance, but he does teach the ultimate concept you want to do in that moment in the explanation.
@@BryceCastillo Yes, I see. He taught the part I figured out and leaves you to guess on the part I didn't see. Lol. It LOOKED like, and I could be WAY off, he marked the spot with a pinky break where he put the cards in the middle, then maybe cut the deck in between them? Not sure.
@@Sam_on_UA-cam No cut happened. When he's putting the cards "in the middle" he's just putting them 2nd from the top and bottom (you can use your thumb to slightly lift the top card and pinky to slightly drop the bottom one to make it very easy to do). He pokes the middle of the deck first to make a few cards jut out to help sell the illusion that the cards are going in the middle. As he demonstrates with the aces, the little throw he does to get the locator cards retain the top and bottom cards (in this case he had the jokers pre-set top and bottom) leaving the selected cards as the new top and bottom
He used a control called “The marlo tilt”. It’s not too difficult, with a little practice. You can learn it on Alex Pandrea’s channel the video is called “Tilt card control”.
