I went to war with mine it's daunting but I did it myself don't give up and never ever take it to the mechanic maybe stathem haha! But they will charge u a nightmare
One that's relevant for LCI cars is the valve cover itself which can form hairline cracks (made of plastic) and cause leaks. Very hard to identify though compared to the usual seals
Off subject but I’m trying to get an e60 m5 and a code P00AC intake air temperature sensor ,1 circuit low bank 2 pops up is it just the little piece on the intake?
I would start by swapping the MAF sensors and see if the fault moves to the other bank. You may get away with cleaning the MAF sensor but it may likely need replacing
@@MTechGuy I took a look at the pic he sent me it look like there was an evolve alpha n tune that negates one of the iat sensors and the wire is just zipped tied to that why it getting an error code thank you though for your fast response 🙏
Great Video ! IMO N52 leaks are very dependant on usage and climat and how you store your car On my November 2005 build 130i, so one of the very first, with few to little spirited driving, in a tempered region, reasonably far from the sea and always stored in a closed area : oil pan leaked (more a seepage than a leak) in 2020 at about 200 000km (125 000 miles) and did not deteriorate since - no noticeable oil consumption water/oil exchanger seal on the oil filter support started to leak , a real one this time, at about 225 000km (140 000 miles) in 2022. No other areas leaked so far after 16 years of ownership, so YMWV
Good video. Thanks 👍
No worries, thanks for checking out the video 👍
Incredibly useful
👍
Awesome video. Mine is suffering from this now. Lol
Mine too, just like every other N52!
I’d also add the Valvetronic sensor gasket to the list too.
Nice video, would have been good to mention how to check ccv
I have a DIY video coming up in the near future for the CCV, I plan to go into more detail then

Why didn't they make them outer cork high heat resistant casket

Yes, for sure! Often causes a vacuum leak too
Had exactly that issue on my 130i.
Excellent video!
May i ask you what is the real fuel consumption of these 130i-s? Is 10l/100km seems legit?
Cheers Jim, I get between approx. 10-12 km/L
oil pan gasket too. I have to do mine pretty soon. uhgggggg
Not bad to do just very time consuming. Have fun with that one!
@@MTechGuy im just gonna pay to get that one done lol
@@MTechGuy I know my limits
If it’s not notably affecting the oil level between routine changes, I’d probably it worry about oil seepage around gaskets.

@@MTechGuy thank you will try that

If your BMW engine doesn't leak, it's because there is no more oil in it 😅
🤣🤣
Is it even a BMW if it’s not leaking? 😂
They run so hot, it’s no wonder the gaskets give up the ghost.
I know, right! 😂
Great Video !
