Great video! I love watching the arrow fall out of the sky and drop into the target. Hunting with my young kids with the x-1 is a joy! We hunt out of cheap pop up blinds. Using the X-1 is like making your blind 25 percent larger!
Insane harmony between archer, scope technology, Xbow and optimized arrows. Elite level fo sho! Matt, you are the definition to being in sync with your Xbow setup and mechanics.. Haha, 40 yards gets pedestrian after shooting 150 yards. Impressed!!!! Your channel is highly entertaining. Shoot On!
Matt, Another excellent video! And, another demonstration that KI has some unmatched innovations: the tiny X1, so smooth, quiet, safe, easy to rope cock, etc, etc and the MV36 with it’s perfectly spaced range marks all the way to 150 yards, and combined can be obtained for less than $1,000. The accuracy of the enclosed barrel just has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. I can only imagine the groups you would shoot if you were shooting of of a bench rest bag or classical front and rear rests and during the day with better lighting!
The sound of the incoming arrow with impact is horrifying!!! Imagine someone doesn't like you and is shooting with a crossbow at ya. Damn i would shit my pants man.
No sure if you are aware but to get an idea of clearance. Measure the distance to the obstacle. If it’s 130yds. Put the 150 yd pin in your target. Is the 130yd pin below the obstacle? If so it should pass underneath. You can also use this to see if you arrow will arc over and down into a target. Just the opposite way.
Sounds much like what I did. Back at the shooting line the branches were basically right at the 130 yard dot. Guess I trimmed enough! Thanks for watching!
Have you ever looked into the HHA crossbow speed dial? I picked one up last year and paired it with a 2moa red dot. Dialed it in 20-40-60 yards and selected the correct tape and it was spot on from 10-100 yards keeping ever shot on a 2 inch dot. Handed it to a buddy of mine and he did the same. You could even pair the HHA with a better magnified scope giving you a closer sight picture which would help the reticle covering up majority of the target as well as picking a scope with a hold over reticle as well and with minor trial and error could really reach out and touch something.
Yes I have looked into those and would agree they are probably a better long range shooting system. But, the speedring style scopes are what I prefer for hunting…the Maxview MV-36 also happens to be pretty legit at long range as well!
You don't have to, that's just what I like. Can't shoot blazer vanes they're too tall. Need to watch offset degree for 3"+ vanes. For decocking, the bolt loading lever also releases the arrow. Use that to remove hunting arrow and load your decocking arrow.
What a shot. I would have been nervous too. You have lightning bugs! Cool. All the mosquito spraying has killed them off down where I live. I’ve never shot a bull pup type bow. How different is it turning off the safety in a hunting situation? Also to uncock the Swat x1 do you shoot it into a target or is there a button to push like Missions have? Thanks
😮😮😮 me and my dad were out in the desert one time shooting a 270 with a new rangefinding scope at 450 yards and we made at the Target out of a piece of plywood so when you walk back to the truck you couldn't see it cuz it was the same color as a desert so we had to spray paint
Hey Matt, I know that this question doesn't pertain to this video, but I was wondering which arrows have you found that fly good for the Vital X? I purchased some Zombie Slayers for it and I'm not having much success with those. Tom on the run on Crossbow nation suggested that I should spine index the zombies but I don't have the equipment to spine index. I did purchase some KI hyper bolts which I'm going to try next. I got the heaviest ones.
Zombie slayers and the HYPR KEs are good shafts. Nock tuning is a great way to get better accuracy, you’re essentially spine indexing (just with less precision). Easy and free accuracy improvement! If you don’t know what nock tuning is this video may help: ua-cam.com/video/ZYU-DrIR450/v-deo.html
@@draggindeeroutdoors it’s listed as 1 pound in a certain place and then 1.6 pounds in another. I looked everywhere for more info and couldn’t find it. Thanx anyway, and keep up with those Bible studies.
@@mikes8915 when we shot piledrivers in our first "Ranch Fairy Tuning for Crossbows" video we found the pile drivers did well with stock insert, 200 grain point. The ID on the piledrivers is goofy so finding a different insert is tough. Don't just take my word for it though, play with some different point weights and my recommendation would be shoot the heaviest setup that still produces perfect (or near perfect) arrow flight. If that ends up being 442 grains, you X1 should be fine.

What pop up blind do you use, I’m looking to get one because my oldest is probably ready to get out this year with me

Amazing my bro, I'll call it a flawless victory 4 you and 4 the Killer Instinct Swat X1!!!
Thanks, man! You gotta try with your setup!
The sound of the incoming arrow with impact is horrifying!!! Imagine someone doesn't like you and is shooting with a crossbow at ya. Damn i would shit my pants man.
Haha! Yeah that would certainly suck
Amazing shooting at that distance! I’d give you that shot for sure!
Thank you, Seth! Keep making the Phoenix, they’re 🔥 arrows!
Good guess on the 30ft drop! I entered your flight specs into my X-ACT software and got a -351.2 inch drop at 150yds (29.2ft).
That’s awesome thank you for sharing! Not a bad eyeball guess then!
Matt, once again outstanding video! Excellent shooting and estimate of the drop at that distance. Keep up the great videos!
Many thanks, Steve! Was a lot of fun putting this one together!
You have a VERY nice place!! Great video!
Thank you very much!
❤ thanks American brother Iaorana from Tahiti
Thank YOU for watching!
Awesome. Just got the swatx yesterday
You’ll love it!
Looks like a really great bow. but how do you decock the x-cam bows?
Hello, I shot my x1 this past summer, 100 was getting , no problem
, good deal👍🏻 Best~Regards
Nice!! Good luck out there!

I just bought the HHA Speed dial and currently shooting legit 3-5” groups at 100 yards. 2-3” groups to 80 yards.
Do you have to shoot 3” fletchings and also how do you get arrow out when hunting to dcock crossbow

Greatt fun video as always.
Great shooting dude.. I'm thinking about getting one of the swat x1 x bows
Thank you! They’re awesome bows, hope you end up getting one 👍
Looks like it was touching the paper plate that's freaking awesome
Thanks, Kevin. It was pretty fun (and nerve racking) 😁
you got number 5, good shooting at that range
I appreciate the 1/8” handicap 😁 Thanks for watching!
Has anyone else had limb cracking issues with this bow ? Great shooting brother !
Thank you! This bow has been excellent for me. If you get one you’ll love it!
@@draggindeeroutdoors Thank you sir. I had read some horror stories about the limbs, good to know.

Safety is located back by the butt stock so it takes some muscle memory when hunting. X1 needs to be shot to decock. It’s an awesome bow 👍

No issues for me so far!
How do you lube the serving if its in the barrel
Barrel has essentially a top and bottom rail. Rail lube on a Q-Tip is 👌
