Just reviewed this myself. A really solid blaster! I really like the feel and look of it. $5 is a steal! So far this series seems to be decent. I'm very excited for more innovation throughout the next waves
I don't know if I'd use the word "solid" to describe this blaster. The Ward feels very chintzy to me. The plastic feels creakier. The pull ring and post are very thin. The trigger is super cheap. The attachment nubs on the rail are molded from the shell and will break over time. Despite having screws on the outside, the internals are solvent-welded. I get that it's a $5 unit, but I wish it was a bit more expensive and they used that money to bump the materials a bit.
@@DEVILISHLY_DELICIOUS Of course Nerf products are "a cash grab", Hasbro are a business, and that's businesses do... make money. No money, no products and bankruptcy. If you think other manufacturers are different, you're sadly mistaken. Presumably you like having money? Have you ever turned down a pay rise? Their products, like most consumer products, aren't designed to last a lifetime. If they were, you probably wouldn't want to pay the prices they'd need to charge. 🙄
What is the right direction? The ammunition has to be proprietary in order for it to reach 90 FPS, while still being able to keep the joule amount down, so it can be shipped to other parts of the world.
@@speeddemon5339 they could just do what they did with some Australian blasters and tone down the power in certain regions. OR they could have made this line while still keeping up with the original elite line.
@@Some-nerd-who-tinkers Well they could also have made them from solid gold with diamonds embedded in them, but they didn't. Because everything they do costs them big money, well in advance of any sales. Have you any idea how complex and expensive it is to produce goods like this? The more time they have to spend altering this or that for different markets, the more complexity in the manufacturing process and ultimately a higher retail price. Running all the old production lines and new ones simultaneously means huge costs. It's simple economics.
@@another3997 I do know how complex and expensive it is to make goods like this, I am a huge 3d printing nerd and I have also learned a lot about injection molding and other types of manufacturing. The thing is that hasbro has shown us that they have the capability to change blasters based on the region. Also all of Nerfs competing brands (for example, dart zone) are proof that you can make good, high power blasters that people like while also keeping the prices low.
Would very much appreciate that mod video for this thing, would love to see how it fires half darts. I like most people in the hobby probably wont be picking these n series blasters up but, theres always the curiosity of trying to mod them for better performance, like you mentioned. I might get them when they go on sale... =P Love your videos, keep it up! (But dont burn out)
The FPS drop off between barrels is surprisingly small but I've noticed that once in while the bottom doesn't fire. I suspect there's just enough leakage to nudge the dart and disable the bottom air restrictor. I've taken to just using the top barrel because it's more consistent and accuracy seems better. At least the point of aim is the same. Also, the trigger really sucks. If this were a mag fed semi-auto it would get painful fast. Otherwise I like the blaster. It's a good choice for getting a taste of N Series.
An entry level offering for 5 bucks is pretty nice, though it probably should've come with 4 darts instead of 2, what with it being a new ammo type, and also cuz you're bound to lose some.
You've heard of the terms "income" and "Expenditure"? They market it as a very low cost item, adding more darts adds cost, so a higher price. And guess what? Nerf will happily provide you with as many new darts as you want... they sell them in various pack sizes.

I am eager to get my hands on the Sprinter again!

Great review man still hoping to get my hands on an n series blaster
N-series is going in the right direction. I just wish it wasn’t proprietary ammunition.

I can agree/confirm everything he is saying. I have bought three and i will be modding one soon. I can't wait to figure out how that smart AR works...

This is definitely a must buy! Perfect for getting a feeling for the series and the darts!

Thank you for the video. Yes, please bring in Mat for those dart comparisons!
I need the NerfDog touch!
And btw, the DoubleStrike is wayyyyy better than the Word in my opinion.
Yeah, but it’s also discontinued.
Australia don't get these for a few more weeks it seems.
This one looks like a fairly moddable one
If you brass it I would suggest the lower Barrel so that you could still use its primary fire mode
Too bad n series is band in Australia because of their stupid toy gun laws 😢😢😢
It's kinda crazy for sure :(
I think these will come to Australia from what I've heard. Time will tell!
They're not "band". Unless they're Nerf branded rubber band, or maybe a brass band. Plus I'm fairly certain they aren't BANNED in Australia anyway.
The least expensive N series is the Flux. They’re about $3-$4.
Well, cheapest of what I was sent I suppose :)
Hi
is this gun manufactured in china or india.?
Not sure. 🤔

Should have but couldn’t have without being more than 5 bucks.
