Excellent work.I have a Savannah S kit on order, that I intend to mount to Puddle Jumper Floats, so weight is foremost on my mind. I would be very interested in knowing your empty weight. Congratulations for creating such an elegant Savannah.

Sonicapollo. No i have not been doing any metal work before. Anyone can do this as long as you have some space to be working inn and your able to have some control over all the parts.

Det va jo kult! Hva kostet det egentlig? Jeg vurderer at købe en Savannah S kit og har fått et par priser som dog ser noe inflaterte ut...

Hello, Very nice built ! In your opinion what dimensions does the workshop need to have at minimum to build a savannah kit ? Thanks.

Hi Nicolas, thank you. My garage is 6x6 meters and did function wery well. I made a simple folding stand for the main wings, that saved me a lot of space. I also used the wooden box from ICP as a working bench.

@@oddingehaugan8917 Thanks for your answer. Mine is smaller, only 4,5m*3.5m with an other place to stock box and the final parts. I think it will be enough for the wings, the tail and the beginning of the fuselage. But not for the full fuselage with the motor. :\

in my opinion simply the best Savannah S out there. Is it easy to maintain the mirror effect or you need to polish after each flight?

Beautiful ! Great job for modifying the cooling circuit, makes me gringe every time I see aluminum tape on a radiator ... Is that an electrically actuated valve on the coolant circuit ?

Thanks! I bought the thermostat from Wattman/Thermobob. Its normal thermo-mechanical unit without any electrical connections. Its controlled via bypass hose. Works perfectly and I highly recommend it! Is delivered in 2 version 185F and 190F.

@@oddingehaugan8917 Didn't know about than product, thanks. By engine already has a thermostat though. This motivates me to get my
      Savannah done !

Very very nice , I just finished a 701 myself , took 1000 hrs , this looks a little more complicated in the fuselage otherwise quite similar , how many hours do you suspect you put into her ?

Hi, glad you liked it. I spent aprox 400h in building and 100h polishing! It's a amazing airplane and its really nice to fly! :)

Michele. The polish jobb is hard, dirty and painful. I always park in hangar and keep it away from the sun and rain. it's losing some shine anyway and you have to Polish at least 1 year to maintain the mirror finish. The first stage of polish is the hardest one. The second one is easier because you than have a smoother surface to work with.

Did you go to any workshops for metal work before you started? I haven't so much as pulled a single pop rivet in my life.
