This was the first time I ever saw an M1 Garand. I was maybe 7 or 8. I've wanted one ever since. Now today I finally got one and had to come back to see it all come full circle
4:55 - Idk why this is just hilarious to me. You throw a grenade at the Japanese (And prisoners) the Japanese officer banzai's right past you and you empty half a clip into your own guy. Just slapstick stuff.
Fuzzy Dunlop lol, it’s almost like when I try to kill a person with a shotgun in Fortnite, I Miss at least three times until I finally get the kill. And then I literally have to reload afterwards.
under the shed where the POWs were rescued was a machete if i remember correctly and you could cut a path through the bush instead of going the normal way.
If I remember correctly about this mission, there was a bonus. When that person gets shot on that bridge you can save him I think that is the only bonus she get on that mission. All could be the second I can't remember it's been so long since I played this
From my understanding, a lot of places on Guadalcanal look similar to this. In the documentary for this game, the designers went to several locations, Guadalcanal being one of them and if I remember correctly they were at the place where Bloody Ridge occurred. So my guess would be it’s based off what they saw on their trip.
I noticed Martin Clemmons is using a Lee Enfield rifle, as did some of the British troops in the Arnhem Knights level of MoH Frontline, does anyone know a way to get the Enfield in either this game or MoH Frontline or a method of obtaining the Sten Mark II SMG in Frontline? And what about the Bolt Action Mauser Kar98 in Frontline or the Arisaka rifle in this game? Do these weapons have to be unlocked somehow in each of these MOH games?
I’m notban expert but I’ve come to the conclusion that the animators were limited by the space on the second gen’s hardware. Notice how they never had unscoped bolt action rifles in the early console games but were in the PC ones. I think those might have taken up space to animate the bolt actions, probably why you only have the Springfield as the main sniper rifle. Also notice that whenever the bolt is used, it’s usually off screen. What I never understood was why Rising Sun, despite being a ‘newer’ game, had less levels than Frontline.
@@CodytheHun123 Aside from the Type 11 and Type 99 LMGs it seems like they left out a lot of Japanese infantry weapons such as the Nambu pistol the Arisaka Rifle and the Type 100 SMG. None of those are available to the player in Rising Sun. I guess the reason why the campaign was shorter is Rising Sun was one of the few PS2 titles to incorporate Online Multiplayer and because there was no firmware updates or server updates like on ps3 and ps4, the memory for that was also taken up on the memory of the actual PS2 disc.
Recuerdo esta puñetera misión en guadalcanal.habia que destruir unos cañones japoneses que estaban escondidos dentro de una maldita montaña.y primero había que cruzar toda la jungla de la isla para llegar a ella.

@4:52 I used to l laugh hysterically when my friend would aggro the sword guy and he would chase him. Hilarious times and nostalgia.
Same! In Co-op we'd let him chase us, it was so fun lol
I am 9 the very moment I am typing this and Medal of Honor: Rising Sun is and will always be one of my favorite games.
Played it on Christmas day 2002 or 2003.I forget .Great memories!

The graphics looked so advanced back in the day
That Black thing at 23:26 off to the right is a movie clip. There are 2 of those hidden in every level
my favorite level of this game
Same here, Pistol Pete was the BEST level in this game. Middle school vibes from 05.

Hmmm scratched? I think I had the same problem or no memory card maybe
You didn't even save the bloke on the bridge??
Guy can barely shoot what'd you expect
Don't know why, but that part 07:04always remembers me of that film "The Thin Red Line (98)"
Yeah, you are right. Never tought of that, altough it always was reminding me of some movie lol.
Who knows, maybe it was modeled after Thin red line.

I believe the Lee Enfield and Arisaka are not playable, just used by the AI in campaign missions.

@@CodytheHun123 They made an HD port of Frontline but I wish they'd do the same with Rising Run as well.
