I've been looking for someone to compare phoenix/hoj/faith as I wasn't sure where to go. I think I'll end up making all of them myself, since I have the bows. Though I had thought the lower ias break point with phoenix would have been a problem, but it seems not. Thanks for the comparison :)
I use Phoenix dragon flickering flame,lava gout mainly. Thought to get hoj bow to get more stack on holy fire but Phoenix redemption aura just to op. Make 100 time more survival, never use any poti.

Helm Artisans Tiara of Speed 15/15 facet or Flickering flame? Which one do you like more? Boots Silkweave. ok. Do I need more MAEK sources and if yes, which ones do you recommend? Belt is Razortail? Rings Ravenfrost/Soj? Gloves 3/20s? Armor Enigma? Amulet Catseye? Did I miss something?
Her gear is: - artisan's tiara/diadem of speed, 3 facets (flickering flame can go on merc if you use a sunder charm) - enigma - silk weaves - cat's eye (though highlord's is not a bad alternative for res/+skill) - see full build setup in video description You can get by with the MAEK on silk weaves alone if you also invested some points into energy and mana sources on gear. Fire bowa energy costs aren't as hungry as freezing arrow :)
i just got my fire bowazon leveled and i think decently geared, and run into some interesting things. i had been using a mist, and finally got around to making a phoenix bow for myself and infinity on a merc. the merc makes a world of difference and the damage noticeably increased. but with infinity, i honestly dont feel much of a difference between mist and phoenix. which im kinda sad about lol i figured the extra 28 res shred would be such a huge difference that mist could never compare. against fire immunes being sundered, it actually is a big difference since conviction got nerfed for sundered enemies. but doing cows, or anywhere not littered with fire immunes, the kill speed feels the same. without infinity on, the phoenix clearly feels better tho. i guess infinity is just that op and its doing most of the heavy lifting. and im lowkey sad about spending that many runes on phoenix for it to not feel much better. specially since no attack speed and no pierce, its a bit annoying. ive legit just been using my mist bow when i cow lovely video tho, very well put together. just wanted to share my experience!
That's kinda right: the relationship between higher damage vs higher minus enemy resists is an interesting one. Mist will do better vs some monsters, but phoenix is great vs monsters that are highly resistant and that redemption is really nice. It should give that confidence to play more aggressively as well as equip a SoJ. If you want to go high DPS, try the 5 fire facet bow option :) In players 1 it might not matter all too much anyway.
The zon is using a 3x fire facet diadem. The same -15% enemy fire resist, but also grants flat fire damage and +fire skill damage which comes out on top damage wise over flickering flame.
@@joshsetten2414 it was a while ago but it doesn't appear flickering flame was used in the footage but... I've featured it in the planners since the build also uses a sunder charm and a flickering flame is a great way of supplementing your (and your merc's) weaker fire resistance 👍
@@Bowazonon the maxroll connected to the HoJ build, you've got flickering flame on the merc. I'd just as soon use Andy's visage, just curious if there was reasoning behind flickering

I found that fire bowazons with infinity experience slightly less pain from immunities than cold bowas did.
Wow, that phoenix mat bow setup really checks a lot of boxes. Seems like it could be great for a hardcore fire bowa build!

i think flickering flame only lowers resistances for fire damage your mercenary does, i could be wrong though!
Correct. Flickering flame is to supplement your merc's and your own fire resistance while using a fire sunder charm.

Is it possible instead of a Mat. Bow use a grand Matron Bow? Or is this not a good Option?
It's possible, but there's no real reason to. You will lose the attack speed advantage going with a GMB.

@@baf8189 you can try rolling any plain +3 mat bow in your cube for a chance to get 4 sockets. Still won't be easy but you have more options.
