Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this UA-cam channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

As someone who has worked on islands such as these, I can attest that rich people can still be absolutely miserable in paradise. Happiness is always a choice. My Maldivian friends prove that to me every day!

When I'm sad, when the fact that I am losing my sight and cannot afford to travel like this hits me, I rewatch this series of you guys and I laugh and smile and happy cry.

Watching from the beginning, it's impressive how professional their editing has become. Having said that, the work on these Maldives vids is simply off the charts! SO good! TODAY I HAD to have a BIG boil lanced and drained by a doctor. I usually "pop" and drain these myself, but this one was on my inner thigh very close to my "meats"..., It wouldn't pop and it was awkward to reach (tried using a mirror but everything was backwards)..... Anyway, when the doctor lanced it, it SPRAYED- - -> this stuff that looked like green mayo all over the nurse. I was so embarrassed. It smelled like tuna fish as well. The nurse looked really sick to her stomach, bless her heart!!!!.

Rafael Paz I understand you think her personality isn’t real from this video because I have noticed that as well, I think she was just VERY excited. However if you see their other videos (or all their videos like I’m doing right now) her personality is very genuine. It’s just that she can’t control herself and as she said this was her number one bucket list item so I would have acted the same way to be honest. I also like Nates personality, he kind of balances out Kara’s excitement.

That's call "influencer market" where business hire youtubers or instagramers with huge audience to talk good about that business and influence people. That's one of the reason to not fool yourself with those youtubers saying you should buy this product or travel to this place, because that's bias and they got paid for that... In that particular case though (this video) even though they were paid to be there and said good things about the place, I really wanna go to the maldives one day, after going to other cheaper places, of course :)
