I love watching your videos and listening to your Seagulls! Makes me yearn for the Ocean!! I can almost feel the breeze and smell the smells of a Seaside town coming through an open window! On top all of the Oceany things, I get to watch you create masterpieces!! Just beautiful!!
I think I love you ...hahaha, I have been looking for a fabric journal to make for a long time....I FOUND IT! Thank you, this one I can easily handle making
Such beautiful ideas!! Thank you for sharing!!! New subscriber & I’m excited to watch your videos! I’ve sewn a very long time, but now I’m learning new things, so this is fantastic!!
You TRULY are an awesome crafter!!! I just wish I could do any of this stuff!! I have all kinds of material, curtains and other forms of cloth and can't even get started cutting them up! I'm always so STUCK.....wish my mind worked like yours! Thank you for sharing with us!
Thankyou for all your tutorials. They are all so easy to follow. Love listening to your thought process boo boo's and all. The gulls in the background are wonderful, ittle boogers they really are.
Oh Andrea I have so much respect for you as a Crafter, you admit mistakes and things that go wrong and we don't have to be perfect in what we do as trying to be perfect spoils Crafting! And then its not enjoyable anymore! I love what you do, and so look forward to your channel, I get excited if I find one I have missed, like this one! Thank you so much for all you do for us! 🤗
I'm drawn to your lovely fabrics and laces! 😍 Great idea to audition the other snippet rolls just to see if there are other combinations that catch the eye ! 😀💖
This makes me so happy!!! You are doing wonderful here, I quilt and this reminds me of a crazy quilt, I've been thinking of ways to incorporate both quilting and journaling together and here it is!! I haven't been happy with a hard back for an antique journal, I feel like you gave me permission to do it this way. Thanks Arty!!
This is the first full tutorial, start to finish on a fabric journal that I have found. Thank you so much, I now have confidence that I can do this. Beautiful..beautiful...beautiful.
Beautiful cover Andrea. You make it looks so easy, even thought you do not sew! Thank you for crafting with me today. I enjoy crafting along side of you. ;D
Amazing how the scraps and tidbits come together in such a cohesive unit! Am excited about digging into my stash and trying to create something beautiful too! Thanks for sharing your process!
I hope you know how exciting it is to watch a journal emerge! It’s your sewing doesn’t have to be professional at all! It’s the eye you have and the experience of constructing beauty that is so admirable!
I am really thankful you are doing a tutorial on how you completed this project!! This is great for those of us who really don't sew much - and so much less intimidating to see someone else who doesn't sew a lot take on a project like this!!
I’m playing catch up on my videos. I am just blown away on this journal! This is just absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for sharing. I definitely have to try to make one of these. You are such a huge inspiration, I just adore all that you do.
Andrea that’s so awesome and beautiful and stunning.... I really love 💕 this journal. Very tactile too. I really love 💕 you’re enthusiasm too, to hear the excitement in your voice is awesome too. Thank you so much xx Mags
Andrea, You won't believe how excited I am that You are helping us in Your tutorial! I just finished my "BoHo" journal and have to share it but I can't wait to start this! Thank You so much for sharing with us! Judy
Beautiful. I am excited to try this since I have so much fabric and lace scraps and my goal for this year is too make use of them. Can’t wait for the next step, love your videos
Excellent tutorial and would like to try this project, and will do many stops and starts to follow along. You have a real knack with fabric even though you do not think so. Thanks for sharing.❤️
I love watching your process videos and this is really helping me with my fabric book!!, the way you do your snippets , has really helped me with assembling my pages!!! Thankyou!!, Andrea, this is going to be another masterpiece!!!! Beautiful colours, textures . Can’t wait to see how it progresses !, xx❤️😊
What a great step by step tutorial!....I really love how to did it your way but also included Nik's process as well...you really have helped me and given me a new perspective...Brilliant , thank you so much~ Hugs, from North Carolina
I have stopped and started this video to follow you step by step, got all my fabric sorted ready, pages cut, cover cut out.... just gotta go Hobbycraft tomorrow as I obviously haven’t got one vital ingredient ! Heat and bond 🙄 xx thank you so much for this tutorial Andrea I am so excited to have a go xx
So glad you’re back! Been missing you but I can see what you have been working on! This journal is so amazing and the texture is gorgeous! I’ll have to watch it again and follow step by step if I decide to make a fabric journal because it’s a little complicated my my brain🤣💖
Oh Artymaze... We love watching you and listening to you as you talk about your thoughts as you go. Such an inspiration to us. My daughter and I are starting our own UA-cam channel very soon, and we will be referring to you so much, as you have given us so much inspiration and we are very thankful for you. Happy New Year!! Much Blessing to you in 2020!!
Ohhhh great Im so glad your doing this video, Im loving watching you do this .......I can tell you that with bond web (I think most of those iron on bonding sheets) instead of using a wet cloth use some baking /parchment paper and a very warm/hot and move the iron slowly.
I did watch a few sewing "pros", they either use an ironing board or towel underneath to help hold in the heat. The glass matt doesn't work as well they said. (For the heat n bond part) This looks awesome ! I can't wait to break out my brand new machine,( that has been in its box for at least 2 years! lol ) Too afraid to wreck it, haven't sewed since high school... I have 3 grandchildren now. Lol Of course I need to buy thread & fabric, etc... :) Tyfs!
Hi, gorgeous work, but I'm confused. When you are ironing, you say you are gluing the pieces onto the foundation fabric, but I can't find where you put either glue or a fusion paper on the fabric. Did I miss this?? Thanks!
Hi Andrea. Thank you very much for this tutorial. Yesterday I started making plans to free my material chest of drawers from the corner of my Den. You have now given me more incentive so that is today sorted. My husband is a smoker is there a way of getting the smell out of fabric please.Thank you once again, I have done much sewing since my last quilt so time to dust off my machine. Hugs and Luvs xxx Wendy
Hi Andrea, I am so excited about this. I have LOADS of material and have been collecting lace panels, dollies and strips. My question is do you know the best way to get a smokey smell out of these things. I used to smoke and gave up but my husband still does. Thank you for this tutorial and I hope to follow along with you once al my material is gathered. Hugs and Loves xxxx Wendy
Wendy Margaret Davies-Stead Thank you, I would say wash and put outside can’t beat fresh air to get rid of the smell I do that when they smell a bit musty. X
The cover is going to be gorgeous. Love to watch your creative process. Just wondering if it would be easier to use two wider snippets for the cover instead of 3 narrower? I'm all for less work. :) Looking forward to seeing this one come to life. TFS
ChicagoDreamer5 thank you , yes that’s how I made my other one which I think I showed in the little video I done. I just wanted to show that when you put things together it can still work xx
Kel C Thank you, I use fabric from the scrap store so no idea what it is, but it’s medium weight, for the snippet pieces I use something like an old sheet so I would class that as light weight x
I love to sew. You are an artist. The sewing is important yet not as important as the artistry you bring to it. Lord, give me a gift of art!
I love watching your videos and listening to your Seagulls! Makes me yearn for the Ocean!! I can almost feel the breeze and smell the smells of a Seaside town coming through an open window! On top all of the Oceany things, I get to watch you create masterpieces!! Just beautiful!!
