Caelium you’ll end up having way more than you need. Do all of the raven and bunker missions first and that gives you a ton of caelium so I maxed standard and then all the first HP fairly early in the event. But I hated Rome, it’s an even more locked down and uneven map and these new units were trash. We need more Moscow like maps and they’ve don’t the opposite for years now.
I tried the Rome fighter too, but it was just took weak compared to my max VG 9.2. The only effective air unit I saw was used by whales. They ran their normal max fighter, and the Rome unit (maxed) that agros fire away from it.
1. The map design needs to change, The map design prevents most movement and locks people out way early, maybe more non-safe zone-locked bridges to give people the possibility to move around the map more freely like in Moscow 2. I'm ok with the new resource amount but event planes need a buff. My alliance has 12 days left and doing 2nd tree in tech without buying any buffs. I like the abilities and have seen some good aspects when fighting lower, same, and even sometimes in higher-power enemy units. Just need to coordinate with the alliance movement. Seen some good play with people using 2 fighter squadrons also 3. We need a new map like Moscow
My alliance is located in the bottom left corner of the map ..... To our North is an enemy alliance which rarely leaves their safe zone ..... To our East are our allies ..... Consequently we now have 11 days left of Rome and my alliance has seen no fighting 🤣
I absolutely hated Rome. Everything was bad. You nailed a lot of points that I had issues with. Also the purchase options were bad, there are no “special missions” like in Cairo to gain more calium, the raven spawns were bad, pathing was absolutely horrible, just over all a complete fail
.. for us is fight from day one against 2 or now 4 aliances.. but i agree it depends to much on where you start and it's based on luck...the bad news for us it's impossible for our allys to help us until the middle opens...the air units just suck but the rewards are nice...
I had my first level 4 in Rome and enjoyed it actually we had our fights for map objectives and it was fun till then So I think they should reduce the timings of map objectives at start and increase it at end of the lvl 4
I personally liked it lol. But…. We were set in a place where we could fight 5 alliances. Also I’m a bomber guy, and the rewards from the command rig are great. Everything else sucks. Lol
I agreed with you on units available in this TOC but the map it's a disaster. Are more than 15 days that we are sitting without fighting and our nearby enemy it's the only that available to come to us and get kills meantime we are stuck because our units can't go in their lands. So tell me it's fair or unfair? And anyway they have to change a lot in this map
The idea of giving people the new air units was good but easily flawed. whales still had the advantage as well giving them a extra air unit. in these hight conquest like the teams from the cup they wouldn't see much different, but lower levels like gold 2 that extra fighter can cause so may problems. as well with that the event was a nightmare, at the start when we where given are spots we made are allies and when the conquest started we where no where near the spot the game had told us the day before. we where then blocked out of fighting for the majority of the conquest. we could only fight once the middle opened and are allies weren't much help so we ended up playing farmpath that whole month. that conquest was that bad that my alliance more or less disbanded many left to join last top team where others left to go to the lower tiers. to some including myself leaving the game all together. map design is sooo bad. i swear lilth are just adding more mountains in the conquests now. i always thought i would stay and play this game to its final days but i guess not. even with that there are all of problems with the game.
The map layout is absolutely broken. In our Rome we have one ally and because of the map layout the other two alliances that we could potentially fight have built in the opposite direction. I don't blame them, it makes sense for them, but the end result is that two weeks into Rome, we have not had a single fight. I am not even exaggerating. Two weeks, no fights. We had to do kill trading with our ally just to complete the missions. Further than this, if you look at the map it gives uneven access to the inner ring. Some alliances will gain access to more alliances and territory to fight over. Some alliances, like mine, will get just barren land that is not useful to anyone else. The end result is that until the inner blockhouses open up two weeks form the start no other alliances have any reason to fight us for territory. Half of my alliance has turned their avatars into farm tractors as a joke. We are discussing in alliance chat not to come back to Rome in the future until they make changes to the map. Getting locked away in a corner for weeks is not any fun at all as an alliance of pvpers. Last thought is about the airforce. At lower levels, the Rome airforce units are a significant upgrade to the standard ones which is nice. The problem is that the best unit for Rome isn't airforce, its helicopters. Any other unit other than heli is at a serious disadvantage because of the mountains and safe zone placements.
I agree worst map ever of lvl 4 city. Plus the 10 dollar pack . Didn't see any difference. I have my tech tree full and jet is trash. Waste of money. Can't wait till rome Is over.
The map is horrible. We have had our opponents safe zoned since the first couple days. We have to wait until blockhouse opens to fight anyone. You waste most of the time just farming

I wish. We literally fought the entire time. Our legendary1 it was everyone vs everyone so there was no shortage of fighting
