    the whisperwind isnt all that strong on its own, but its insanely strong when upgraded with the rome buffs and used as a tanking jet

    We had 1 alliance that was geo locked and could not do anything until zone 3 opened they where locked in by allies ... imagine that not participating for the first 20 days , it was horrible for them

    For me, Rome is a kind of test map, as if someone hadn't finished it but the deadline came and it had to be released without checking. navigation works worse than anywhere else, a system of invisible blockades where even the plane won't fly. Rome is a city where winning 90% depends on luck (where we start) In my opinion, the map should be completely removed from the rotation and restored only after redesign because it cannot be repaired. the only advantage is the air combat zones, but... note that the planes are 10.0 units that they plan to add, so again: they added them to check our reaction. they will write in a moment: due to the warm reception of the aviation mode in Rome, we will add these planes as a completely new level of xF units

    This video highlights some of the biggest problems with Rome. There should be compensation for such an unfinished map. Pathing messed up reserve flow. Three Arms Factory means only one ally can get two Arms Factory rewards. Towns are spread far for some areas. I feel like this map needs Military Labs as well. One of the bigger problems though is how the map is setup. Where the enemy can attack you but you can't attack them. For example when Blockhouses open lets say the enemy is in top right corner and you are in middle left or top left. The enemy can go back and forth over a wall with a heli group and constantly attack ags. You want to chase ags but you are stopped because you have to wait for Blockhouse opening. So now you get heli groups running rampant that you can't do nothing about really because of bad map geography. The whole map needs to go back into testing and needs a complete Revamp. I get what they are trying to do though and the reason why they won't make more Moscow type maps. They want to give the alliances a chance to get rewards and give them a fighting chance. Moscow while it does give you open area to fight the problem quickly becomes what if you are losing a 4v4. Enemy is building everywhere and you can't stop them. It's game over. 20 days of farming. Game gets unenjoyable for them and for the enemy. I tell people Moscow is mostly decided in the first 3 days... yea there will be fighting and trying but really if you don't get a town that's it your done most of the time. Also I think if they just do what they did with Cairo many would be happy.... add mega airdrops.... Hidden Camps to all these maps. Give us more special buildings in the conquest maps.

      Also one more thing to mention.... Air Combat Zones are kinda busted because you can just send one fighter plane to multiple zones kill a fighter and get out.... still get a ton of repute and rewards lol. I do like this and Lilith should not do anything about this.

      Yes, that's one thing I forgot to mention. The enemy being able to attack you across the bridge is ridiculous. Map is unfinish and we shouldn't be the guinee pig of Lilith.

    The map is garbage for most of the reasons you describe. In my opinion, though, having 3 blockhouses is only a problem because the player base has decided that 8 teams in an event means building political alliances with other teams - 4v4 or 5v3 rather than every alliance fighting alone. Get rid of peace treaties and change the rewards system so that nobody is happy to share with another alliance. In the 2 plus years of the L4 events, I think I've only played 2 where you couldn't tell which team were going to win after the politicians had decided the allies. We lost both of them, but they were the most fun events I've played in. Part of the reason Hegemon is fun, imo is because it is 1 v 1. Imagine how much worse it would be with 4 or 8 teams. The 30 minute preparations would be all about trying to do deals with other alliances to guarantee the best rewards. In conclusion: Maps bad, allies worse.

    I just can’t get my head around the fact that the new planes are not offering something special so that everyone would want them because else you would be in a great disadvantage. What could possibly be a good reason to add these to the game and make them so weak and useless. Makes me think the devs don’t test anything and just release it hoping it works out. So dissapointing..

    An absolutely disgusting map. We had like 2 days of combat, safe zoned two alliances and that was the end, went to phase 2 with zero access to any enemy and became mere spectators in our own conquest. Only one alliance in our entire coalition had exclusive rights to combat, Killing Machine scoring and Conquest events competing for the entire mid phase. A one pony race competition, total disaster! Things never improved in the third phase as all excluded alliances were now built out of the combat zones, with the drudgery of massive commutes, and only able to pick on a few scraps here and there. I agree, they should restructure the map layouts, and go back to simplicity. They keep trying to build more and more over elaborate, complex maps and they just keep getting worse and worse! I mean why not just go with a classic 50/ 50 map split down the middle, east meets west where alliances can vie for central domination and flanking superiority. Over complexities in the concentric circle designs are now an established regression and are devolving the game, go back to basics Lilith.

    The air battle trinkets are pathetically insignificant.

      Air battle alone doesn't make Rome fun. The pathfindind is absolutely horrible and need to be fixed ASAP
