I have been using my Xiaomi Mi 9 for 4 years ,and was thinking of waiting for this one. However, I made the jump back with the Samsung S23 Ultra. With the 512GB update for the price of the 256GB and freebies (Preorder), the pricing of the Xiaomi 13 series model is disappointing. This is the reason why I made the jump back to Samsung. With the price so close to the Ultra model's base 256GB, and the the lack of the announcement of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra / S series, were the main reason I got back to Samsung.
Just chiming in to say that a 1" sensor is way smaller than 1". It's misleading marketing, since the 1" measurement isn't referencing the size of the sensor, but rather the diameter of the vacuum tube that would fit around it in ancient analogue times. Still way smaller than micro four thirds and APS-C.

I think that there is still a need for Xiaomi to make improvements to its smartphones and if we take Samsung's significant gains in camera and CPU departments, the galaxy S23 ultra seems to be way better than the other android phones
The S23U uses the same SoC as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The cameras are similar, but Xiaomi is not going for megapixel chasing, instead using a larger sensor. I prefer the Xiaomi approach.
Nice review but a bit useless in a vacuum, especially when your title says "best camera ever".... Look at Han's tech talk review against the 1+ 11 and you will see why your review has a problem (spoiler...1+ 11 beats the 13 Pro)
Hate 1inch sensors on phones, just makes the back design of any phone an absolute ugly eyesore. I'm so glad my S23U doesn't have a 1inch sensor and apple as well so I hope they stay away from 1inch sensors as they don't need it to compete.
s23 ultra is at 0.75 inch right now , they will eventually put a 1 inch sensor, you cant fight physics with software. you can always come up with more attractive design with placement of 1 inch sensor too. I m also not fan of this giant round module vivo and xiaomi adapts.

What game was that in the background
I ❤LOVE❤ Xiaomi phone
1080p selfie in 2023 for 1000$ is crazy
I think that there is still a need for Xiaomi to make improvements to its smartphones and if we take Samsung's significant gains in camera and CPU departments, the galaxy S23 ultra seems to be way better than the other android phones
The S23U uses the same SoC as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The cameras are similar, but Xiaomi is not going for megapixel chasing, instead using a larger sensor. I prefer the Xiaomi approach.
@amfrepo Xiaomi and Samsung have the same SOC but the difference is that it's 8 gen 2 for Galaxy or more optimized in S23 series.
Looking for your Xiaomi 13 review
Will this phone work in USA?
Now they only have to move to usb 3.0 and maybe a ultrasonic fingerprint reader from Qualcomm
The front camera is disppointing though
Hi can you help me pick? Im torn between the s23+ and xiaomi 13 pro, which is better overall?
Nice but we are waiting and the Huawei p60 pro review!!
When will these chinese brands drop the iOS rip off control center? I don't get it.
I love Xiaomis, except when notifications stopped working.
Nice review but a bit useless in a vacuum, especially when your title says "best camera ever".... Look at Han's tech talk review against the 1+ 11 and you will see why your review has a problem (spoiler...1+ 11 beats the 13 Pro)
1-inch sensor inside but the camera is NOT using the whole sensor for pictures. Same for every so call 1-inch sensor phone out there.
@@sercan272727 oh I didn't know that but If they can somehow come up with a nice looking 1inch sensor for a Samsung then I would buy it but current designs I just really don't like so I hope they improve on the designs of 1inch sensors.
But vivo x90 pro plus is still worth it
Definitely still worth considering - it'll all come down to the price
