      This reverse kegel is confusing....because it seems to me that if the pelvic muscles are not contracted..they are relaxed. .and they can be contracted only for secs at a time and they automatucally relax when released....so HOW DO WE REVERSE THEM?

    The number one takeaway with me is essentially building awareness around the tension I tend to carry, and to have the intention work set around building the 'mind-muscle connection', rather than strengthening any muscles. The more we work with it, the more neuropathways we build in that connection -- and then eventually, the new relaxed associations become baked into the muscles and it becomes -- wait for it -- muscle memory!
    Thank you for the spotlight on this. Big aha moment for me in terms of perspective.

    • @SexualKungFu
      @SexualKungFu  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes! We tend to want to "muscle and force" our way through everything, but this is a process of letting go rather than trying to add something.

    I learned from all the classic Tao teachers who advocated squeezing and Kegel to get the energy to go up. I gave it up. I believe that stimulates the fight of flight response as the default setting. I found the reverse Kegel which had the effect of creating an amazing blissful feeling in the core of my body. At the same time I would feel as if there were an involuntary Kegel but found that there was absolutely no tension there. I think the greatest benefit of the Kegel exercise is to all the more be able to relax the pelvic floor to allow our energy to flow freely.

    Thank you- this really is important information. I am a Universal Tao instructor and your emphasis on relaxation, reverse kegels, etc. is really a crucial missing piece. On your suggestion I also got a prostate massager and made a huge difference after being quite uncomfortable. Relaxing the pelvic floor at least for me is a long and continual process, so I hope men watching this persist and relax. And Wu Wei...Control without controlling! 😉

I definitely cannot do any of these WHILE doing something else, especially not something else physically active! (OR that requires a lot of mental focus, because this exercise itself requires total focus too!)(And I can ONLY concentrate on ONE thing at a time!)
    Also, every time I try the reverse kegels in any length, (any more than just a few seconds once or twice), it just makes all of my major hemorrhoids pop out and get really engorged, inflamed, and irritated! SUPER annoying!

    thanks johnathan, your videos have really helped. Becoming aware of the amount of tension in your pelvic floor is absolutely the key. I was unconsciously tensing mine, 24/7/ Now i'm aware of it, and can sense when it involuntarily twitches/spasms, and feel like I have far more control. Kegels are TERRIBLE. We should be doing the OPPOSITE, absolutely NEVER squeezing or tensing this muscle...

    • @NicoSimonPrincely
      @NicoSimonPrincely 3 місяці тому +1

      100% Wrong! Kegals are far better. They direct the energy up he spine. The reverse do not. The reverse are not the same and not as good. It good to be able to do both but saying Kegals are bad or or terrible is total false.

    • @NicoSimonPrincely
      @NicoSimonPrincely 3 місяці тому

      @@SexualKungFu You're misinforming people. Kegals do work, work better and build the floor. They also direct the energy upward, The Reverse are not building the muscles nor are they directing the energy the same way. Especially doing them mildly. I was teaching this stuff 20 years ago and have had 20+ years experience with it and feed back from clients. The reverse are good only if you so close to ejaculation that a Kegal will send you over the edge, Then it can delay it, but you can also delay with breath techniques and other methods. Also if you felling this in your anus either with Kegal or Reverse you're doing them wrong. That should be the last contraction of all of the muscles.

    Thank you for this explanation. I have a question for you Jonathan. When you do reverse kegels would you have to push really hard for them to hurt? Or would you have to focus on doing them gently because any kind of force hurts? I’m asking because for me it hurts even when I do them gently. The pain seems normal to me, so I’m intrigued by your perspective.

    • @123852123852
      @123852123852 4 місяці тому

      I'm not the expert here, but it sounds to me like you either have a lot of pelvic floor tension that's straining as you push on it, or you have a medical condition. I certainly don't experience any pain when I do these.
      If I were you I'd continue practicing as gently as possible, and if the pain doesn't go away after some time, maybe see a doctor of some kind about it.

    • @SexualKungFu

    @SexualKungFu - given the build up of pelvic floor tension contributes to sexual dysfunction, how can we practice these reverse kegels in a position/orientation that does not contribute to the same tension? Ie. If sitting, leaning backwards increases tension, shouldn't we avoid that position while doing the reverse kegels, or maybe lay on our backs with bent knees?

    • @SexualKungFu

    In neigong the reverse kegal is used to push the lower Dantian energy into the perineum to merge du and ren which begins fusing the yin and yang. It's done while holding the breath and pushing and holding it down till you need to exhale. It's actually very hard to fuse the ren and du meridians and it can be dangerous to some extent.

    • @SexualKungFu

      It's normal, with proper breathing your pelvic floor contracts a bit. Especially when lifting, you're engaging muscle groups and this actually builds the pelvic floor properly (squats) instead of overly isolating kegel type engagement. Just notice if the tension seems functional in supporting the exercise or is unnecessary.

    Thanks for the info, I tried what I told you about and it was mind blowing to see her writhing with pleasure and ready for anything. It started when I learned to last at least 30 minutes go’ogling the latest in Greyzar Drinbo's PE Solution and now she just can't have enough

    I never had Wet Dreams before. I started doing kegel exercises and it caused me to have Wet Dreams ever since. Do not do kegels if you want sexual stamina.....

      Yep, kegels trap tension in the pelvic floor and seminal vesicles, creating a likelihood for wet dreams.

    You're misinforming people. Kegals do work, work better and build the pelvic floor and help keep the prostate health. They also direct the energy upward, The Reverse are not building the muscles nor are they directing the energy the same way. Especially doing them mildly, which is how they should be done. It not really even a "Reverse Kegal" because Kegals you use a lot of force and reverse is mostly relaxation with a mild push. This is the Pushout Technique and it has place but does not replace Kegals.
    I was teaching this stuff 20 years ago and have had 25+ years experience with it and feedback from clients. (I don't teach anymore, moves on other Passions.) Reverse is rarely needed. And the fact that it made some guys heart hurt tells you it's not the correct or best method and is not as safe. Pain is a Warning sign. Never have I had my heart hurt doing kegals or breath techniques. But Kegals need to be done with the the Energy Cycling to get the real benefits. Otherwise you can get the energy stuck and get headaches.
    The reverse are good only if you so close to ejaculation that a Kegal will send you over the edge, Then it can delay it, and reset you, but you can also delay with breath techniques and other methods. Also if you feeling this in your anus either with Kegal or Reverse you're doing them wrong. That should be the last contraction of all of the muscles, The purpose of the Kegal is to pump the Prostate. Which can also be done manually with you hand pressing on the perineum with a couple of fingers. You can even intentionally lose your erection with Kegals or Make it harder depending on you use it. Also if you a practicing any form of Semen Retention these reverse Kegals are not going to cut it as they don't pump and massage the prostate like Kegals do. Using only the reverse or Pushout techniques you might get prostate congestion if non-Ejaculating.
    Kegals are not Bullshit, the Bullshit is you saying they are!

      I've worked with hundreds of men and the general conclusion has been that pelvic floor hypertension patterns are a very real problem for modern men that causes PE and ED issues, and doing kegels on top of this just adds to the problem. I did the tension based methods for many years, and relaxation approach is far superior. I was getting crazy pains in my pelvic floor from patterns of tension that were becoming ingrained from kegels.
      I actually don't use reverse kegels much at all these days, but they are very helpful for men in the period of transitioning out of a stress response to arousal. Reverse kegels are not meant to replace kegels, they're meant to rehabilitate someone out of a sympathetic nervous system dominant pathway of arousal. Building a healthy and strong pelvic floor requires compound exercises - the pelvic floor is comprised of 18 different muscles and they are meant to function in balance with the surrounding muscles groups. Doing kegels alone tends to emphasize mostly the bulbospongiosus muscle, leading to serious imbalances over time.
      Kegels are not necessary to circulate energy upward - that's like saying if you want to project chi from your hands you need to curl them up into fists. My conclusion is that the activation of the perineum energy center has become grossly misunderstood as "squeeze the muscles". Just because many people teach this or spend their whole lives teaching it doesn't make it correct.
      Decongesting the prostate is important, but for this massage can be more effective than kegeling.
