      Hello, these are Klein Hybrid pliers. They have built-in crimper and strippers. My favorite lineman’s pliers ever.

    How does the heater know when the pump is running? Does the heater have a flow switch that only allows the heater to turn when the water is running through it? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    • @electricalron
      @electricalron  2 роки тому +1

      Not a dumb question. I imagine through a set of contacts in the filter. Definitely wiring within the appliance.

    • @SqueakyHinge
      @SqueakyHinge Рік тому +1

      The heater has a pressure switch on the inlet of the piping system which will close the control circuit if that pressure sensor senses pressure - from the pump running - so the heater will run.

    Pssstttt next time wire it on the load side of the time clock that controls the filter pump. No extra breaker needed and the heat won’t run unless water is flowing.

  • @SqueakyHinge
    @SqueakyHinge Рік тому

    Why don't you have a bond on the heater? Is it because the heater is far away from the pool/pumps?

    Do you have to pull permits for every single one of ur jobs
    Can you list some examples where you dont pull permit

    • @electricalron
      @electricalron  2 роки тому

      Repairs & maintenance and I do a lot of that. Permits for any new wiring but not for changing out light fixtures or changing GFCI’s.

      @@electricalron thanks for replying, i almost have my masters and am looking forward to start my journey in vancouver area, always curious about the permits and doing it right. One of the jobs u had, installing light fixtures in garage with piping and motion sensor, did you need permit for that?
      Or shed wiring
      Thanks!

    Hi Ron, on outdoor outlets for a deck does NJ code require gfci outlets and gfci breakers or is a gfci breaker with wr outlets ok.

    • @electricalron
      @electricalron  2 роки тому +2

      A circuit breaker or outlet is acceptable because it's only required to be GFCI-protected. I will tell you the outlet will be cheaper than the circuit breaker. The outlet MUST BE 'WR' which means weather-resistant.

    Where was your sensor wire? All Hayward heaters have one.

    • @SqueakyHinge
      @SqueakyHinge Рік тому

      The pool water sensor as well as the pump pressure sensor and the control thermostat are all located inside of the heater. There can be options of a remote sensor control.

    Why is it that some trades running their class-II wiring with no concept of dressing wires in a workmanship manner. I'm always surprised when I see HVAC equipment wired neatly some folks seem to like spaghetti.

      Some just don’t care about themselves so naturally they don’t care about their work.
