- "Lost Track Atlantic" is a four-part series that takes you on the journey of a lifetime, from the far north Atlantic to the tropical, equatorial coast of West Africa.
Follow best friends, surfer Torren Martyn and filmmaker Ishka Folkwell in a search for waves and life long memories, as they journey down the Atlantic coastline passing through one of the most culturally diverse regions on the planet. After customising an old van to become their travelling home, Torren and Ishka explore their way through an array of countries and cultures, all on a quest to escape into nature and ride perfect waves.
Filmed in late 2019 before travel restrictions, this four-part feature, produced by needessentials, filmmaker Ishka Folkwell captures Torren’s timeless surfing against a backdrop of beautifully contrasting landscapes and countries. The films celebrate the diverse cultures and amazing people that call these places home.
Set to an outstanding original soundtrack composed by Headland and an incredible mix of local musicians, Lost Track Atlantic invites you to come along on an epic adventure. These films remind us that although life has its highs and lows, we can always find contentment in a deep connection with nature, community and the ocean.

What are some good surf movies you'd recommend? Trying to dive deep
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this but I keep coming back to it. Now I'm watching it with my 4 week old baby. It mellows both of us out. Peace
First off- beautiful boys. Really stunning work all the way round. Second- to me this is a surf trip- as apposed to a "surf vacation/holiday." Jetting into some location, driving to some resort and posting up to gorge on a few different waves for a week or two is nothing to trash but its not a surf trip-its a vacation or something else there is no word for. I talk to surfers who claim to have seen the world and suggest they are well traveled. I am not bashing on anyone for their experience and how they have managed get around the globe but seeing it how you 2 did is a surf trip-its what we used to always do-pre surf resort/destination surfing came to be. I went to Europe on the search for 6 months and stayed 5 years. Cool thing is you never know what can happen when you put yourself out there-get out there friends. My god this film hit me-what is important? To me surfing and seeing it all
Two things ive come to learn about surf travel. Firstly, it's one thing to find it on, secondly, it's another thing to be able to charge it when you find it on - good on him!

Loved watching this! Had some epic surf trips to Scotland and Ireland. Been living in Japan for the past 12 years and really miss the van trips up North! Thanks for bringing back lots of good memories.

This was the fastest 40 minutes of my life because it was that good. Looked bloody cold, but the rewards for all that effort definitely made up for it. Soul surfing at it's best. Need much more of this in 2021 and beyond. Can't wait for the other 3 episodes🏄🤙

It is very cold like a cold you never forget but the adventure more than makes up for it. I am thinking back to my pre-adolescent childhood spent a winter in Northern Ireland land of my Father. the further north you go the colder it gets.
Torren marten is just such a blessing....his surfing has inspired mine for years...the most graceful flow, that's what my surfing has become...thank you torren ...I even switched up my quiver from all single fin modern retros and started riding twinnies....twinning.... love to the aborigines down under...they are amazing people....sending all the love to yall down under ,especially with the insanity your govt is posing against yall
