Anyone asked for teen drama? No? Too bad!
And no, I don't know why they suddenly look 10 years older, IT JUST SORTA HAPPENED (and people thought they were 20-somethings in Parties Are For Losers, how times have changed)
But yeah, the soap opera continues (and by continues I mean goes into a flashback for 90% of the song), now with a messy electronic-ish sound. This one is not as intense as PAFL and the pv is a fair bit simpler, but hey, they can’t all be winners lol
I can’t say I’m pleased with how the audio came out - for some reason this instrumental was a huge struggle to make and it still ended up being muddy… Though I tried to make the tuning a bit clearer, since a lot of people find my JPNloid stuff hard to understand (big thanks to poetfog for their tuning advice)! I’m not sure whether it’s an improvement or not, since I’m not a native speaker, but I hope it’s at least a little bit better? Also please excuse the awkward mixing - flower absolutely refused to cooperate
Overall this is definitely the hardest one I’ve had to work with in terms of sound and I hate it with all of my angry little heart (but hey, at least I had a lot of fun with the video so that’s swell)
Btw if the song sounds like Happy Girl it’s because it was initially built on the same chord progression - the more you know🌠

The original FD file I had for it got messed up, which is why it took me so long to put it up (sorry for that)! I couldn't fully restore it, but I tried to make it sound as close to the one used in the video as I could. It's still slightly different, but I hope it works! It's a pretty huge fuck-up on my part, but I hope my providing the tuned VSQX will make up for it. Sorry again for the inconvenience, I'll make sure a thing like this won't happen again!

Onion Cutting Ninja honestly when I first listened to Senbonzakura I thought I heard it before, only to realize I was thinking of this song
So, basically, she wasn't always the badass bean we saw in Parties Are For Losers (She even seems to be kind of a nerd at the start), she didn't even get invited to parties back then. But then she decides to go just to spite her overprotective brother. Beating stuff up with a bat wasn't even her thing. It's seems that that comes more from the guy she likes, who has some problem with that town
What I don't really understand are the scenes that seem to be from the present. I think they are from after the "meat" incident, but I don't really understand what they refer to.
I hope this at least helps those who didn't understand the story

Well, "Like a Dog" was apparently supposed to be the final song of the "Parties are for Losers" series so that would make sense there are elements from other parts in the series in that, though I could never actually tell for the life of me
I like the contrast between their views. In PAFL, Yura refers to himself as 'loser', but Sanya refers to him as 'cool guy' here. Just a thought.

У всех есть травма или условия, при которых они перейдут черту. Дима, например, объективно темный персонаж, который убил стольких, что перестал считать. Но он не злой. Он человечный. Его воспитывали с презрением к низшим. Или Юра. Он испугался, убил охранника. Но он не злой. Или ольга, которая желает помереть во искупление и страдает комплексом вины. Я не верю, что такую глубокую химию можно запихнуть в клипы по три минуты, но я вижу это и ву меня не остается выбора. Честно, такие разносторонние персонажи - глоток свежего воздуха.

＜世界観＞
東ヨーロッパのある国に、ゾーンという謎に包まれた場所がある。誰もゾーンが何物なのか知らず、そこに近づくものは問答無用で処刑される。しかし、ストーカーと呼ばれる人々がいて、人々がゾーンに入るのを不法に助けている。ゾーンの影響でたまに変異を持つ子供が生まれることがあり、その中でも危険なミュータントはゾーンの近くにある研究施設に隔離される。
＜ストーリー＞
前回の事件(負け犬の宴参照、ミュータントであるKTが研究施設に送り返された)から2週間後、ユラはストーカーとしての初任務のためにゾーンへ向かおうとしていた。その時、家から抜け出してきたサニアに呼び止められる。
時は1年前に遡り、ユラはサニアの家庭教師をしていた。サニアは両親を失い、兄であるセルゲイによって過保護に管理されていた。ユラとのやり取りの中でサニアは、家に閉じ込められている自分とは間逆であるユラのクールな生活に心惹かれた。彼女は勇気を出してユラに自分をパーティーに連れて行ってもらうよう頼み、彼は渋々了承した。
その夜サニアはユラと一緒に家を抜け出し、パーティーで楽しんだ。パーティーの途中で彼らは別れたが、その時サニアはユラが別の女子を口説いているのを目撃してしまう。サニアがかっとなり、外に出てゴミ箱を蹴っていると、ユラがタバコを吸いに外に出てきた。慌てるサニアだったが、驚いたことに、ユラはバットを持ってゴミ箱殴りに加勢したのだった。
この出来事をきっかけに、サニアはますます頻繁にユラとつるむようになる。そのさなかで彼女はどんどん強くなり、仲間も増えた。
時は進み、前作(負け犬達の宴)の終了地点。ユラとサニアはKTを捕らえた車が去っていくのを見ていた。その時ユラの中にある考えが浮かんだーこのまま終わらせてはおけない。これまで「それをやって何になるの」と生きてきたが、「自分がやらないと誰もやらない」という考えに変わり、KTを施設から解放すると心に決めた。まだ具体策は何もないが、セルゲイのもとで働いているうちに手がかりがつかめるかもしれない。
そして最初のシーンに戻る。これが最後の別れだと思ったサニアはユラに何か言おうとしたが、彼はそれを止めまた戻ってくると告げ、寒そうにしている彼女に自分のジャケットを着せた。
