Does anyone else hear static in the background? Is that intentional? Like a distorted static voice singing quietly on some parts

That was in the original, I believe it's supposed to be talking, and at the end you can vaguely make out the words on screen in it, but of course it's not going to have them actually verbally speaking while the lyrics are being sung.
Al Jayne I’m pretty sure it’s just the harmonies? I remember trying to cover this and the harmony being kinda weird (but in a good way).

This does sound very good, but I think that there are a few parts where you could’ve raised your voice, especially the more fast-paced parts like the “blinded by the sun” parts and so on like the original. Excellent cover though!

Ah, I see what happened. Before I point this out, I love the cover, well done! I noticed a few things wrong, and I think I’ve got the reason why.
It seems like a huge amount of focus was put on just getting the lyrics out correctly. This resulted in a couple slip-ups, like “under the watchful guise of reason,” instead of, “under the guise of watchful reason.” It also led to a lack of emphasis on the parts that really needed it, the “blinded by the sun,” parts. I can understand all of this, especially for a Ferry song! The irregular rhythms and harmonies of Ferry songs make them harder to sing than anyone would think.
These songs are really hard to sing right, so this cover is still really good despite its flaws. After all, nothing can be truly perfect, right? I’m probably just nitpicking for the sake of being annoying, anyway. I could easily pick a random song and still have problems with it, hell, probably have problems with the original.
Just don't think about it too hard and enjoy the song

Hey, we all enjoy things in different ways. Mine’s a bit odd, sure; analyzing how the thing in question was created, performed, etc. Thinking hard about that stuff is what gets me outta bed in the morning, and it keeps things from getting old if I continue to increase my understanding. And as all commenters tend to do, I simply share my thoughts.
The only problem I have with it is the pointless intro.
Other than that 10/10, would loop again.
