Yeah they are a pretty good substitute for dumbbells, especially when you are first starting out, and they are pretty inexpensive too. Get started and stick with it :)

This is perfect!! Don't look further, I saw 10's of videos about resistance bands but didn't understand they were so confusing and weird workouts that looked easy and complicated. This one is easy ON POINT no talking or doing complicated workouts. Thanks for posting this video this is the best!!

I prefer to do these exercises on a time limit, say three to four minutes per exercise, doing as many reps as possible (to failure) resting as needed. two to three times weekly.
Need more of these now as I just bought resistance band since I'm missing my strength training and dumbbells are out stock everywhere

I went for a pack of 5 bands that went from 10lbs to 40lbs. I got it off ebay & there are plenty to choose from. You can even buy a 80lb one & I got that one separately. Also I would suggest joining myfitnesspals as well cause it will help you stay motivated. Resistance training is great, but make sure to mix up your workouts sometimes cause your body does need the change up.

12 repetitions each of 2 rounds of each set of exercises
exercise 1 - bicep curl, ( black )
exercise 2 - overhand curls, (blue )
exercise 3 - overhand tricep extensions, on the left arm ( red )
exercise 4 - tricep kickback, on the left arm ( red )
exercise 5 - overhand tricep extensions, on right arm ( red )
exercise 6 - tricep kickback, on right arm ( red )
exercise 7 - bicep curl, ( black )
exercise 8 - overhand curls, ( blue )
exercise 9 - overhand tricep extensions, on the left arm ( red )
exercise 10 - tricep kickback, 12 repetitions on the left arm ( red )
exercise 11 - overhand tricep extensions, on right arm ( red )

Resistance band can really gan muscle?
with anything, watch what you eat, use cardio and bands to exercise. example squats and overhead shoulder press. quick reps. this will keep the heart rate up. this strengthens your legs,back, shoulders, arms and a good cardio.
Geeez... here I was thinking "i dont have time for the gym lateley" (its an excuse right..) so ill be doing some excercises at work. With resitance bands coz they are easier to take with my then my dumbell reck... i searched this video and saw the length of only 16 minutes.. I tought well ill do this exercise first and probbly another after. 16 minutes aint no way enough to get wrecked... son... i gotta tell you.. im wrecked. my goodness did i miss judge weightbands exercises... ive been going to the gym on and off for 12 years... im not a rookie nor a fitness junkie but i know my way arround weights. this is something else... im even not doing it right. my shoulders are on fire hahahah. thanks alot for this eyeopener, see you on my next night shift haha
