@@hondaxl250k0 Yelling is not "violent assault" as the OP said. It's one thing to yell a couple times during a brief argument. But when it's loud and recurring and goes on all night so neighbors can hear, then it is perfectly appropriate to ask police to check out the situation. You can't blame the wife for yelling first if you retaliate and get even louder. Most times police conduct a detailed interview, observe if the house is turned over, separate the two and ask how they want to resolve the fight, and essentially work with the couple if there's no evidence of physical abuse. I will add, in a relationship like this, get away, move away, disappear, they will probably track you via work, family friends, school, church, social media, many ways. Change everything, phone , email, address , everything , I've lived it
Poor woman, we need to protect women and children better. I can tell you in some states it's next to impossible to get a restraining order, or change your name and keep it from being available to the public. Restraining orders can get a woman killed as well, so we should at least be able to change our names and have it be sealed and private without a restraining order , it's the best option to escape the perpetrator and the cycle of abuse and violence, and get away, not be found by them
Even though somebody shouldn’t have to say this, if you have to call the police on your boyfriend or girlfriend, it’s time to leave. Take responsibility for your self. That is not love.
Why young women get involved with these thugs, and even stay with them, never ceases to amaze. How desperate for attention, or low is your self-esteem, to allow you to justify staying in such a toxic relationship. Just so very sad.
Desperate for attention? That’s a really disgusting thing to say. You have no idea what she went through or how many times she tried to get away. You have no idea how hard it is to leave sometimes, especially when you’re terrified they’ll lash out - like this guy did and killed her. Stop blaming victims and blame the MAN WHO MURDERED HER.
You apparently have no idea how toxic relationships work. The majority of DV relationships do not start out that way. The abuser typically love bombs the victim and appears to be their “knight in shining armor”, until they know they have the victim right where they want them and then they start to change. Most people aren’t taught about the red flags to look for or how to recognize them and behave accordingly. Everyone begins a relationship with their “representative”, or the best them they can be, but eventually as you relax, your little quirks or annoyances start to show. A person’s mentality will determine just how much of them changes. Some people start out as Jekyll and end as Hyde. Since you have obviously never been in an abusive relationship, consider yourself lucky. Call your parents and thank them for teaching you how to tell the difference between good and bad behavior in relationships, setting boundaries and how to deal with issues that could become much worse because many haven’t been taught things like that. I also want to mention somehow abusive partners are able to choose victims who are easy for them to manipulate which makes their behavior more acceptable for the victim. Some people need to do some research about certain situations before making statements and judgements they have no idea about 🤦🏼♀️
