Aaron Brooks and him had a good connection in the now forgotten 8-8 every year in N.O. from 2000-2005. I always thought they were good teams, just could never quite get over the hump. I compare that team to like the modern Detroit Lions.
Arron Brooks was the problem with the saints dude had the talent never could put it together there was games he would put up solid numbers and games he would stink up the joint if Blake doesn't go down Brooks would never had been the QB should have went with delhomme over Brooks
@@edwardhollowell7158Have you looked at the Saints QBs? Brooks made bonehead decisions but he was no less than average QB in an organization starved for competent Quarter back play. Plus, those N.O. Defenses sucked 2000-2005.
Playing Game Day 2000 and the Saints being my favorite team I traded Eddie Kennison to KC for Joe Horn and Billy Joe Tolliver to Cincinnati for Jeff Blake, you can Imagine I was beside myself when it came true in real life! That's when I stopped denying magic exists. Hollywood Joe the best Saint reciever ever!
The Chiefs letting Joe Horn go is one of their biggest mistakes in franchise history. Completely moronic move by their coaching staff and front office. Seeing as Gunther Cunningham was the head coach at the time, I like to put a lot of the blame on him because he's very stubborn and defensive minded, while always hating to throw the football. This is what I imagine a play sequence going during a game with Gunther as HC back then: Gannon/Grbac: Coach, we've ran the ball on 90% of our offensive snaps, shouldn't we throw it now? Gunther: NO! DON'T EVER MAKE THAT KIND OF SUGGESTION TO ME, WE WILL RUN THAT BALL TIL I SAY SO! Gannon/Grbac: But they literally have all 11 guys at the LoS, even the normal deep safety is in the box! Gunther: RUN THE FREAKING BALL, YOU MORON!
Poor guy had to play with Aaron Brooks. If he had played with a top flight QB he would be considered one of the all time greats. In other words if he would have played his whole career with Brees he would be more than a local legend.
Horn and Brooks was a good combo, don't know what you're talking about. His best years was with Brooks obviously. Horn was a late bloomer, he was good during his era but tough to say if he would have been HOF with another QB.
@@wjc9600 Im speaking hypothetically as in if horn had played with a Sean Payton offense and drew brees as his qb, there’d be no doubt he’d had been a top receiver every year in the nfl and a hof candidate at the least
This was what football looked like when I was growing up. This is so nostalgic.
Joe Horn was a monster during his prime. He was a pass catching machine.
Never clicked so fast. Joe “little big” Horn.
He was smooth with the route running, vertical threat and YAC. Complete receiver one of the best of the 2000s!
Joe Horn would have been a monster in this era
Yep
he was a monster in his own era

Saints had a lot of talent, enough to take them deep into the playoffs. Problem was they weren’t coached well at all.
Dam Jeff Blake had a arm
I was thinking the same thing, goddamn!
@@johnhernandez7594 yeah bruh. That boy was slinging it
I remember him with the Eagles
Threw a very nice deep ball too

Football bat then was so good. Commentating, reporting, and the way the game was played. So good.
Imagine a prime joe horn paired with drew brees
Wouldn't have been fair. Especially with Colston as his number 2.

Little Big Horn
its crazy how long chris berman thought saying joe little big horn was clever. he should have stopped after a month or two
man, his nickname was Hollywood...i don't care what Chris Berman called him :)
I'm told the words, "Jeff Blake"...
What I hear is, "Brutal Foot Injury"...
For those who don't know Aaron Brooks is Michael Vicks cousin
Wish Blake could have been around a while Brooks sucked
Jeff Blake threw a nice ball.
His son play for Carolina panthers Jaycee Horn DB
NFLs 100 characters brought me here
Why was that man pressing Joe so hard? Like ease up bitch I'm having fun 🤣🤣
Modern football (and ESPN) isn’t half as good now as it was in this era.
It’s so weird seeing him in cheifs colors
