Once you gain stage your 808 which brings everything to proper volume level, additionally having a clipper will control the force amplitude of high 100% saturation setting of Black Box. Then from there you just adjust the volume settings of the plugins & Instrument track level to get that right fit within the relevant mix This is actually a (standard) practice & technique in terms of producers & skillset. Any pro knows all these things The reason he set the saturation levels so high is called "Pushing" the processor\Plugin You turn the "In" coming signals WAY up. & consecutively turn the "Out" going signals down This allows for the signal to be BOOSTED to get the most "warmth, grit" saturation which drastically changes the feel & dynamics quality of a song, track, sound etc. Yet at the same time control the velocity presence while adding warmth, space & so on Low sound "In" settings & high "out" settings don't allow you to max out the Utility mixing plugins power The key is to remember to "layer" your dynamics the same as you would instrumentation to create better nuance which we call "Gluing" the track sounds, i.e Mix together You want to use a little bit of compression, saturation, EQ etc here & the as needed, just bkz you can, or you own high quality plugins like I do lol Sometimes you need It, most of the time you won't due to the HQ sounds we have available to us to day sonically as producers But there's a "method" behind the madness of "Pushing" your mixing plugins Is the point I'm attempting to make lol But yeah. Bro had me nervous to bkz the BB HG2 is powerful as hell ahah!! I ain't gone bap, I haven't never pushed it that hard, i.e MAX settings lol. Now I gotta try It ahah. Remember the GAIN RIDE with the In & out the plugin sound though bkz as It looks like he's feeding It a lot of power he's also REMOVING it by turning the OUT volume down to COMPENSATE for turning the IN 100% up! That's the educational & applicatory purpose part Otherwise he'd blow his damn head & his speakers off\out fax lmao!!
I've never seen the black box cranked to 100% lol. I'm scared 😅
