This Bow has some serious Secrets! made by Wolfgang in Germany

- Today I show you a Turkish bow from Wolfgang, a German engineer.
He wanted to have a short bow with long draw, moderate poundage and takedown. As he did not find anything in the market, he started to build one by himself. I am testing two versions and they are really close to the final product. Right now Wolfgang does this in his free time, so he for sure cannot handle many orders. It is just amazing, when someone really puts some thought to a problem and what the result can be. Maybe a bit down the road we will be able to setup a small production line for this “Eierlegende Wollmilchsau” :)

Hoffentlich wird der Bogen gebaut. Wär genau das richtige für mich.
Just what I want. Please keep us posted as this project progresses. I will purchase one when available. Thank you for the timely updates.
Me too.👍🏻
This needs to become a product! This is what I hoped that ILF horsebow would be.
Customisable grips, customisable limbs, and durability. I would buy this.
It truly looks like the proverbial eierlegende wollmilchsau. This has to be massproduced!
I fell in love!
Short bow with long draw, that's what I dream of!
Wow!!! This is very cool! I love bows with the takedown option. Will be interesting to see what the upper limits he might allow for draw weight. This is impressive. Always a treat to see the products of innovative builders. Looking forward to seeing this bow becoming available! Awesome!!! Thanks to both Wolfgang and Armin for sharing this with all of us!!!👍🏻🏹🎯
I swear to god armin deserves 1 million subs
You are the first person I've seen besides myself to take down a bow like that. I've had people cringe when they saw me unload my bow like this but that was the way I was taught when I was young. Great video brother. Keep on posting.....
What an awesome bow! This is going to put the wind up commercial bowyers 😂
A customized backpack for it would be a great companion product. Oh! ... and of course you must ride a folding bike ;-)
I was thinking of getting that takedown longbow you reviewed a little while ago for a backpacking archery kit, but this may have just taken that spot.
If this bow is available in 40-50lbs it will be perfect!
Alibow have now TD longbow. Reviewed at channel alredy
Wow! I need this in a 40-45# bow! Hope he is willing and able to make these for other people in the future, I would love one!
Awesome pre-production bows!
Go ahead, Wolfgang! 👏👏👏☺️
And I love the TD arrows! 🥰
Thank you so much for the review, Armin! ☺️🙏
Looks like a solid bow, probably a good one to have for someone that doesn't have too much space or wants something easier to travel with.
Great video as always.
Yeah you’re right I want one
Thats really surprising, didnt know that this Stecksystem is even possible, not to mention my face when i saw that arrow. just wow.
the transport is for me a big point, its often a bit difficult without a car to carry the stuff comfortably but this Bow checks all my boxes.
Black, longdraw and easy disassembly: i think, this would be a hit on the market, no doubt.
Performance nice. Wow and in takedown is so cool. I know that in the future we will know more about that Turkish bow. Thanks Armin. 😊
The Alibow Tang An Chang II also comes with takedown and draw length up to 35’’(if less than 40#@28"), or up to 33"(if more than 40#@28").
But 600 usd! The Kheshig costs 360 usd. They got a lot more expensive. The Kheshig was 125 usd when you reviewed it
as far as I remember was the Kheshig 300 or even 350 ;)
A bow that allows you to enjoy yourself.
Thanks for sharing! ✌️👍🇬🇧
Takedown riser made by molding metal pipes! It is a take-down coupling that guarantees rigidity and creates an extremely narrow arrow pass. The bow is modern and practical. also amazing performance... I'm looking forward to the finished work.
Personally, I hope the riser has a leather cover option. Metal is too cold in winter. And for the two-piece arrow, the insert insertion method already exists, but it is not satisfactory. I hope It is convenient to recover the arrow from the target, and it is safe even if the connection is a little loose.
The bow looks kind of Turkish-Assyrian mix, and Wow, with that draw length and the speed of 187 it's a real wonder!
I'm not sure I got the view right, but for me it looked like that the arrowpass is actually in the canter of the handle, what makes the bow itself an assimetrical one. If so, the performance should be even more top compared to 'regular' built bows, since the arrow gets the full power from the string's geometrical center. If this is truly so, I'd go for it for sure.
But even so, it's a really good concept and craft, thumbs up for the builder.
Wow that seems like a really fun bow!
Very cool bow, something I’d be interested in at a future time. I hope he continues making them.
Awesome craftmanship, cool bow.
Tell Wolfgang we all want one! Great video as always
Wunderschöner Bogen gute Arbeit 😁👍
Very nice! I love the narrow arrow pass and gradual taper from there to the limbs. I'll take two when they are ready please!
Great bow, make it happen Wolfgang , you have a customer here
WOW, What a cool incredible bow.
I like the hybrid design and speed. Be convenient to take on a camping trip
Beautiful takedown horsebow bow...
Nice little bow!
A great review as always Armin. Thanks to Wolfgang, this may be a viable bow for winter use. I really like the takedown ability. I have the Tartar takedown by AF Archery and I really like the bow. A bow like Wolfgang’s would be my everyday bow. Now to find a great set of takedown arrows. That would be a review I’d like to see you do. I truly value your reviews and make quite a few Archery decisions because of them.
This bow really catch my eyes...😻😻😻
Really cool. 👏👏
Nice video as always, and you made us discover again something new, many thanks. Big-big respect to Wolfgang; again a highly talented bowyer, who managed to combine modernity with tradition; something I really like. Really so glad to see so many of these great people! ...Just a not so important detail: for me this looks rather like an Assyrian than a Turkish bow (? - admittedly the two are from the same “family”).
This is a really cool bow and take down system. Would love to get my hands on one later down the track.
Nice !!! A take down Turkish...awesome!!! You never cease to amaze buddy
beautiful bow
Holy cow!!!
Looks like a great starter bow for a traveling person! Looks good and performs well enough! In my opinion Looks like a no Brainerd! Lol another great review as usual my friend.
N I C E , anything that you can pack into the length of the arrow you shoot is always desirable 😃
I was never convinced about the traditional take down bows until I bought the alibow Longbow. I have to say if this was in the 150 euro mark, I would 💯 buy it
Still waiting on my longbow from alibow
I was typing a question about what's the point of a takedown bow without takedown arrows, and it popped up at the end of the video! I was looking for a backpacking bow. This combination would be a perfect solution.
Jeebus! I didn't know that was possible for such a shorty😯. Good grief, that's so new and exciting! Quit your day job Wolfgang and focus on this bow, we all want one now.😃
Thanks Armin! Looks to be greening up by you, winter over?
haha winter is pausing, not gone...
First! Turkish bow form is so appealing to me. I don't know why they just look so great and feel excellent
You got me very interested!
If I can afford it I will buy one - can take a while though...
"Any more questions?"
Yes: "how much, and when can I get it?"
hahaha I had the same questions :D we are working on it
Amazing , seems like the future is here .
hello i am from turkey it is a pleasure to use turkish broadcast
What a stunning bow, count me among the many sad people in the comments who'd love to buy it. Armin, would you consider making a video that features different take-down bows?
Very interesting bow, I would like waiting the final product if it could be possible to get those TD arrows?
Hi Armin great review. I hope Wolfgang is going to sell the bows. I want 1 👍
Krass. 👍
😱.....what a beautiful design. It's almost perfect 😃.
I wonder if a 33-34" draw with a bit more poundage would be possible, 🤞
🙏 Thank you 🙏
Well done Wolfgang. That’s a beautifully elegant solution as a take down bow. Thank you Armin for sharing this innovation. I look forward to following this story.
The riser is made of steel. What are the limbs made of? Laminated woods?
I want one!!!
Armin, hope you make a "take down bows" comparisons.
Well there's your new survival bow.
Der Summer Fox!
Now we need take down arrows lol
I'm sold on the take-down versions-Sweet !! Also love the take-down arrows......are they available on the market??

I have a bow wich i made from a fishing rod. Is a slow and long time process, because you have to cut a telescopic fishing rod in half, take every segment and glue it in the bigger one and so on untill you form a solid semi circle, then you have to tiler it and that takes forever because the material is carbon.
It has a little bit of recurved tips because that was the limit of the material i used
and i needed a little bit of an extension to be able to fully draw it.
I shoot mediterranean style and my full draw is at 27.5 inches or something.
The bow is about 43kg at 28 inches wich is about 90 lbs i think.
It is 94cm long when strung and weights 480grams.
the limbs are 2 cm wide in the widest part and about 8 mm thick.
Is super tiny and very fast.
Is fully carbon, basicly is a semi circle profile in the limb with the straight side on the back and round on the belly, is full carbon and has a fiberglass skin on the back of an about 1 mm, it is literally made to reach the limits of the materials. I broke many limbs trying to get to where it is.
I have no problem shooting it, is just that after about 20 shoots even through the pad it will start to hurt your fingers.
I think i have about a year since i am shooting it, i can see some of the fibers started to fail in the limbs, but still shoots strong and doesn't seem to fail. To prevent that you have to add more material and this will make the bow more heavy, i mean not in draw but it's entire weight, you have to make the limbs longer and therefore the bow even though it will be same draw weight it will be slower.
I don't have an device to measure the speed of the arrows. But is fast, and due to being so light for how hard it shoots the vibrations stop almost in an instant. Even with very light arrows.
The limbs are wrapped in nilon wire to the handle and to the recuved tips, a process wich really hurts your hands, but is the only way to make a compact bow from multiple parts. And it takes few days to build one. I was thinking to start selling such bows after i met a customer, work in constructions. And this lady was into archery. And i told her i build bows. She came to me to show me a cheap plastic olympic style bow wich was like i don't know maybe 3-4 kg in draw weight and she was shooting arrows with plastic hard vanes like you would shoot the feather fletching.
And i promissed i will show her my bow, one of my bows. And after she saw this bow she was so impressed she couldn't take her hands of it, ahaha she wanted to buy it. But i told her it too heavy for her. She gave me her number and asked me to build her a bow like mine and give her a price. But due to my work a year has passed and i never had time to craft another bow, not even had time to shoot my own bow.
Thing is, even if i were to sell my bows, i don't even know how much should i ask for one. Is like whenever i make a bow i love it so much i don't want to give it to anyone else.
I want one!!! No seriously!!
Super vidéo
J'adore cette arc
Avez vous un lien s'il vous plaît pour l'acheter ?
i am in waiting que also
I'd like to know where the limits for poundage are, as I'm usually shooting 40-50lbs and would love to have something in the same ballpark as a compact, highly transportable bow. Any information on this?
I want this!! But as i do LARP so 28in will be enough for me. Tell Wolfgang im interested as hell!
What material are the limbs made from?
What was the limbs made of and riser?
Kauf ich!
Is there any more developments with the production version of this awesome bow? 🙏
he is making them in small numbers
@@ArminHirmer someone needs to manufacture these 🤔
Hello sir, is the bow available?
like music instruments (flute, clarinet...) some ingeneers discovered that the shape and the density of the material allows to replace expensive wood by polycarbonates
Rolan archery is a pioneer and i prefer its traditional recurve shape than this turkish one, but it's a matter of taste
like wood instruments (yamaha), can we consider it's the best solution for beginners, cheap and recyclable ?
may be!
If you put the limbs in backwards, do you get a tatar bow? :D
Hi Armin were dis you get the fluffy pom pom from on your bow strings
Did not dis
they were already on it, not needed but the Inventor likes the look
@@ArminHirmer Ok that is cool, Thank you very much on that, hope you have a good week with the new January 2023
Wish I had some
Mensch Armin, an geilen Bogen vorstellen, aber dann sagen, dass man eh wahrscheinlich keinen kriegt! Des tut weh... 😉
ich weiss, aber nur so ist der Entwickler zu motivieren :D
Is the bow available sir?
not yet
What a beast of a bow, lots of power i that small bow. And I thought rattan was a beast 🔥💪. Definitely on my radar! One thing is i hope a non takedown version is also an option.
Hello Sir, how do I buy it?
not available yet
Consider my stomach wetted
Hard to beat German engineering 😁🎯
Can you make your language in the video Turkish for us to understand?
Not doing mass production. Boy his phones gonna be ringing of the hook after this.
😂
Can i have one?
Add me to the costumer list 😁
That is not a Turkish bow . Its just a smaller recurve bow .
I think some Turkish bows were just that. No reflex, just recurves. But I'm no expert. Ideally, it would specify which artifact it is modeled after. In the sword community, it is very common. Not so much in the archery community. The labels are thrown around without an easy way to reference them.
the bow has non bending siyahs
@@ArminHirmer it has semistatic siyahs .Look at the bow when it is drawn .At full draw it can be seen the tips opening . I think this is how he can manage that impresive 36 Inch draw
Hello sir, is the bow available?
