    These are the best deal around for minis that I have found and I am enjoying painting them. Well worth the money for certain.

    Very nice review. I ordered three sets a couple weeks ago, figuring these would make great filler for my upcoming Pathfinder game. It was hard to pass on 82 miniatures for less than $40 with shipping.

      Yeah, it's a great price for what you get! I actually used some of these in a D&D game I ran on Friday. :)

    I love the review, and some of these are great. Thank you. Just one suggestion. Better Lightning. I know a light ring can be expensive, but you can WiP up a cheap light box with a few parts. Otherwise, great stuff.

    Thanks so much for such a review. Been mulling over getting these for quite a while now to beef up my Kings of War armies.
    May I ask, how do the Dwarves and Orcs scale up against the minis by EM4?

    • @TheCreativeKobold
      @TheCreativeKobold  5 років тому +3

      No problem! Thanks for watching! :)
      I just measured them side by side, and toes to eyes, they are the exact same scale. However, the eM4 dwarves are more bulky, have less details, and that terrible injection point on their back. Tehnolog's dwarves are simply better quality. But they can work together.

    • @Musuzima
      @Musuzima 5 років тому +3

      The Creative Kobold Awesome! I am already employing the EM4 Dwarves in my regular games and looks like I’ll get them Russian Dwarves to boost their numbers.
      Keep up the great quality videos and thanks a lot!

    Please can somebody help? I am very interested in the dwarf set. And I know they're not very expensive but we're talking about a great deal of time investment. And $10 is $10. I'd like to know if anyone knows how their size compares to reaper bones dwarf miniatures and Or whiz kids dwarf miniatures? Please any help would be deeply appreciated.

    • @TheCreativeKobold

      I put up a size comparison pic for you showing four Tehnolog dwarves next to three Wizkids dwarves, under the Community tab.
      I'd say they're slightly smaller, but not so much that they can't be used alongside each other(which I do frequently). :)
      Hope it helps! (Link below.)

      The Creative Kobold thanks very much. But I can't seem to open it. I guess there must be a size difference? Otherwise he wouldn't of had gone to the trouble to take a picture. When I try to open the picture it says group text on the way but that I have to use a computer. I'm using currently an old iPad. But if it's not the same size or at least close so good to me. I have a set of the knights what's the winged helmet. And I find them pretty close to the same size is the average money. A little smaller but not noticeable in the game. But again thank you

    • @TheCreativeKobold
      @TheCreativeKobold  3 роки тому

      Strange that you can't open it. Perhaps just try checking it the next time you're on a computer? Or maybe you can go to the main channel page, and then in through the Community tab there.
      Anyway, yeah, there's a little bit of a size difference, but like I said, I think they work completely fine together with Wizkids(and other dwarf minis of that scale).

  • @Gabdube

    The first thing I noticed that would make them unfit for more historically-based games is the pauldrons, not even the wigned helmets or pseudo-tabards. The pauldrons are shaped like Warhammer Space Marines' pauldrons, which would not allow any movement of the arms other than a 90° rotation forward and back. No historical armor was this bad.

    • @TheCreativeKobold
      @TheCreativeKobold  5 років тому +2

      Haha, that is very true! It's the kind of Warcraft oversized type of pauldrons.

    • @Bluecho4
      @Bluecho4 4 роки тому

      On the plus side, they would make for pretty on-brand stand-ins for Stormcast Eternals (aka the Space Marines of Age of Sigmar).

    Yeah.. I have a bunch of them.. they are not 28mm they are 32mm. Just a bit bigger than the standard D&D miniature.
    I got them because I got like 30 for 8 bucks for their cyber warriors for the sci fi game i was going to run. Not too shabby.

    Call the goblins "orc children" or "dwarf orcs". Maybe they could be halfbreeds. Problem solved, right?

    • @TheCreativeKobold
      @TheCreativeKobold  5 років тому

      Hahaha! Yeah, that could work. ;)

    • @Bluecho4
      @Bluecho4 4 роки тому +1

      It's also worth remembering that while it's presently fashionable for orcs to be big, burly chaps, this was not always the case. Earlier depictions of orcs - following their literary source material in Tolkien - were short, squat creatures.
      So you could easily flavor the goblin minis in this set as being a smaller breed of orc, that are working in tandem with their larger cousins. In my own homebrew setting, all orcs descend from creatures created artificially - in spawning pits - by spellcasters looking to create armies. The processes used to do this have been lost, rediscovered, or recreated multiple times throughout history, meaning the world is replete with slightly different breeds of orcs.

      You're definitely getting what you pay for with these models. Still, if what you want is quantity, it's a good deal. Plus, if you're fielding a bunch of generic guards, knights, dwarves, or the like, do they really need to be that detailed?

      Still a better value than Games Workshop. You might be able to put together one or two units of GW minis for the money you just spent on a whole army of these. (Obviously, we're only talking about raw numbers here, as the quality of models is another matter entirely).
