My father was born disabled. I take care of him now as an adult. Thank you for teaching me things that he couldn't due to his condition. It's much appreciated.
it’s crazy to think Jack is old enough to go out and start a life of his own as a young man. I remember watching him help you when he was just a pup. How time flies. Love this type of content showing setups and giving great advice
@@wranglerstar You sir are more than welcome! I laid on my non functional back today after cutting tree limbs off the roofs of my neighbors from Sunday afternoons storms here in central Arkansas. No power till the 29th as of the last update, but I have a genset and gas. Keeping everything frozen for the house and the neighbors. That’s what’s expected of good neighbors. Be generous and kind. That is Gods expectation.
It's a proud, and terrifying day when a father equips his son to go out on his own to fight. In this case, the fighting is wildland fires, and the care/attention to detail shows. I look forward to one day doing something like this for my son.
I fall trees for firewood every year and I have always wanted to put together a tool belt like this. Thank you... the info for the scabbard is exactly what I was looking for
I wish my father had been this involved in my life and supportive in my endeavors. You, sir, are truly a man a son can look up to. This is the kind of thing I will do for my son.
I’ve been following you for awhile now and can say that you are a role model for sure. I wish my dad was, but I made myself a very good father to my two daughters and couldn’t be more proud of them! Thanks again for all you do.
Man, I remember when you gave him his first pocket knife. Makes me feel old. But then again, I’ve had two boys of my own (6 and 7) in the time I’ve been watching you, so time and life is marching along with all of us, like it or lump it.
Although im from the UK and in no way near the occupation of the forest service i love these videos, been watching for years and for someone who never had a father figure around i hope to god that one day im as good of a father as yourself.
Very cool to see this congrats jack! I don’t know why this particular video came to mind but while watching this I remembered back to an older video of yours when you were on the old homestead and you were testing the range of your COMMS. Jack rode the dirt bike down a ways and it just shows how much he’s grown, and how blessed this young man is to have a father/protector/provider like yourself! I grew up in a very broken home with no father (and no positive male role model either) now as an adult with children of my own videos like this are that much more special. Aloha and blessings from Hawaii 🤙🏼🙏🏼
phenomenal! I love it and I will pray for Jack that he is safe and maybe has a little fun along his journey! You're a proper father and I always look forward to these videos! Thank you!
I did the same when both my sons decided to go into the trades. I gave them both starters kits that would get the job done with out over burdening them. When it comes to telling someone you love them actions speak louder than words. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
It’s such a great feeling to gift your sons with things they’ll be able to keep, use and appreciate for years to come. I put together a couple of carpenters belts for my twin boys when we started building a log cabin together in NH a few years ago and still get a mixed sense of joy and pride for them when I see them put it on to work on something. Kudos to you Cody and congrats and good luck to Jack!
I'm a big fan of your videos and I'd like to say that you've inspired me to become a volunteer firefighter. I'm currently dealing with the consequences of some mistakes I've made and I've got some jail time coming up. Once I'm done with that I'm gonna get my life back together and try to do something positive for once. Thank you for the videos and God bless.
Few weeks ago I looked through the older videos to help me decide what to buy for a fellers belt for my college timber harvesting class and for when I get out of school. I am very happy with grizzly peaks, I ordered everything and had it with in 3 days.
Nothing like having something to remember your father. My tool belt was made by my father when I became an apprentice. Every day my father is with me, it’s weird not being able to get advice from the old man. God bless you as well.
I appreciate you, Cody. Some awesome content and Old School values. That said, I'd like to talk to Cody of a few years back and show him you in a neckerchief, the sunglasses you stole from Ted Bundy, the unashamed revelation of a makeup mirror and neon sign- and watch the ensuing fireworks.
Youre one of the reasons im taking some arborists certifications in my state. Notnjust for work, but as a passjon for the forest and msintaining her, respecting her.
Jack is working in the woods! That's great! I remember watching your vids years ago and he was just a youngster! My boy is around the same age too, it's crazy to think! Great vid again!
I feel old, but I also feel proud of the MAN that I have been given the privilege of watching grow up Jack is going to conduct himself as a man and we will be proud of who he is
Mr Cody, my ears aren't so good these days, but it sounded to me like we both got something caught in the back of our throat during the last few seconds of your video. Godspeed to your son. Peace to you and your wife, when waiting to hear his voice while he is away at work. God Bless.
Although my father never made me anything or something of this level of a gift. He provided in other ways and I love and appreciate him for all he has done for me and my brothers and sister. I see this being something he will cherish and hold onto for many years. Used or not he will still appreciate it. Jack is a bit younger than me (my guess is hes about 20) but i know for sure he will grow and have an appreciation for your work. Iv recently grown appreciation for the wild land fire fighters and have been looking into getting myself in the USFS.
Just got my first house and your videos have helped me tremendously. I was curious how you take care of pests, rodents, insects from the interior and exterior. Especially with all the firewood you keep. I live in Texas and if I bring any wood in roaches and all kinds of things get everywhere! Would love to see a video on this

I second what above said, also I can't imagine how glad he is to have you. Fair play man
Your dad sounds kinda lame
