Very informative, does the transducer tend to drag on beaches etc?

You pronounce "hull" and "hole" the exact same way. I was so funny when you were saying, "Drill a hole in the hull and run the wire from one hole, through the hull into the other hole."

Thanks Tony. You are a life saver. I've been perplexed on the wire management and those wire caps look like the fix to my issue. I have a similar setup with the Lowrance Elite4 and a Duracell battery. I'm in a Ride115 so my battery mounting is a bit different. Good info there!

Mike Council no problem! Those caps were a great find to run the wires.

Fantastic set up with your fish finder. Do you find that your transducer, being lower than the hull of your yak, gets damaged from rubbing across sand etc?

I know this is a old video but IF you still watch it Where did you get what you are calling Wire Caps? Can you maybe do some remake and include links to what you have used. It would be a great help to many of us who are watching your video.

Informative Video Tony, Thanks!! Question - Do you leave your transducer on the kayak during transport and launching or do you remove and re-install ? Thanks!

Can I just use a suction cup for the transducer outside? I'm told to have it half in half out for no bubbles. Your thoughts ?

Great info. Thanks! Your transducer looks like it protrudes slightly below the kayak. Have you had any problems hitting it on anything or when launching or recovering your kayak? Thanks again!

Average Everyday Fisherman Show no problem! I bump it every now and then but it only takes a few bumps before you start to remember. Kinda like if you have a cut on your finger. If you hit it a few times you'll make sure not to do it again haha.

In other words, pay someone who knows what they are doing to install it so you don't screw up your kayak...
