very very nice and in depth thanks! p.s you did miss the inverted effect of ripple it's actually my favourite where all the rgb is on and clicking a key turns the rgb off really cool and gives it like a water feeling :)
This is nothing “crazy” but is a great guide for those who have purchased the keyboard. Besides the actuation rgb. That’s a pretty cool biproduct of Hall effect.
I'm not sure if Wootility already has the feature, but what I really hope to see an option that lets you change colours with jelly/aoe/ripple too, instead of only brightness
So I just got mine and I’m looking at a bunch of different tutorials to try and figure out if I can do what I want to do with the rgb. The idea is a base colour, with with the wasd keys set to a different colour, with a wave going through the board from left to right, however I don’t want the wave to change the wasd keys do you know if this is possible?
Is it possible to have the led bar match the key I am pressing? For example my WASD is yellow then the led becomes yellow but if I press Q then the led bar goes red
Can someone tell me how to switch the color for the key being pressed. Stock they turn like a yellow color when pressed. Anyway I can change it to like blue or red?
i really like the video and how you went deep about the rgb which it really cool and i havent seen videos about it but i got a question can i use a static rgb color like for example blue and use the aoe effect with different color like red so when i press the key slightly the color change to purple and if press deeper it gets redder until it becomes red?
unfortunately you cannot select a custom color for the AOE effect, the RGB dims/turns off and AOE only lights up whatever you already have going on in the previous layers
Their RGB effects are actually very lack luster in comparison to other boards. Some effects are cool and very well implemented, but the lack of real control ruins it for me. Still love my 60HE though. Best keyboard.
piece of junk! My wooting 80HE came with missing keycaps as well as a snapped board. Super unimpressed dont buy this piece of shit. From now on out I will be sticking to my Red Dragon k55 from amazon for 60 bucks over the 400 dollar thing that belongs in the junkyard.
@@provoker1 did you contact support about this? I wasn't impressed with the Wooting 80HE either but it shouldn't come broken out of the box and how did it cost you $400? 😵 Also you don't need to go back to Redragon after one bad experience. There's plenty of other good keyboards you can try, I even have some on my channel that offer great value like the Lucky65 V2 or Keychron K2 HE.
@@sainteagle4426 I live in Canada and maxed out everything on the keyboard. Tried contacting support around a week ago and they just closed my ticket I think Ill just be done and take the loss. Super bad experience .
This video is very well made and in depth steps, this deserves more likes
Impressive!
The rgb layering is looks to be well implemented, can't wait to give it a try :)
great video, my 80he is arriving in a couple of days and i am so excited
very very nice and in depth thanks!

Ooh my bad 😅 I had limited time with the keyboard so didn't come across that one

thanks, havent seen people go in depth on the RGB
only bad thing is that I still have to wait a month for mine to come in :(
really well made

Wootility currently doesn't allow this but yeah that'd be awesome in a future update
I love the 80HE
Bro my Wooting 80he Zinc alloy didn't come with a plastic dust cover. Bummer :(
Andddddd scammer gets scammed
cus it comes pre packed in the travel case

I don't think the wave not affecting the WASD keys is possible because it's set as a layer on top of whatever the base colors are
Can we maybe get one without the leds but wireless? Or better yet with the leds and wireless but with a good size battery in the base.
Yeah for the price no wireless support is definitely a bummer when boards like the Keychron K2 HE do offer it and for cheaper
Can you share the profile code please? Great video highlighting each effect
Is it possible to have the led bar match the key I am pressing? For example my WASD is yellow then the led becomes yellow but if I press Q then the led bar goes red
yes you can change the LED progress bar color to whatever you want
Suck how we can’t add different color RGB per layer
Can someone tell me how to switch the color for the key being pressed. Stock they turn like a yellow color when pressed. Anyway I can change it to like blue or red?
You unfortunately cannot change the RT Display effect color to anything else other than the default green

My wooting 80he literally justs cycles between red and light blue even if I have tachyon mode on and it won’t change.
Have you tried contacting Wooting about it? They have great customer service
@ I got it fixed
