- I think she had already laid an egg or two, but wasn't ready to start sitting yet. That would explain why she kept looking in and checking, but didn't go in. We had three broods in this box this year.

I think its great to keep the chicks safe from crows and other large predators.
That is clever thinking 👏👏👏
I would like to see videos on how to build the boxes.
Шикарная защита от посягательств на гнездо.Очень-очень замечательно придумано.
I agree. It is a good design.
Will this keep those english sparrows from taking over the nest that my blue birds started?
Hello, the truth is that I don't understand that type of protection that your nest box has... Is it against woodpeckers, so that they can't enlarge the original hole? I think it would not be worth it to prevent rats and weasels from entering it, since they climb very well... Perhaps it would be better against those predatory mammals, to put a small tube at the entrance that protrudes three or four centimeters...! Greetings and thanks for the video!😁😁😁🖐
Great video! Do you happen to have video instructions on how to build a Noel predator guard?
Nice design.
Very good
Smart with the wire to keep the crows out.
If only human houses were built to the same high standard. 🤨
Very interesting 👌 would it work to stop squirrel
Vero , concordo .
I d like to see video of a predator bird trying to get in to see how well it works.
Sometimes a cat put a pawn inside trying to snag whatever they can, this can be a deterrent for that case.
Many attackers like woodpeckers, magpies and crows are already blocked by the small hole and the extra "doughnut" limits beak capabilities of said birds.
It looks like the hole is just too small for her to make it through. What is the dimension of the hole?
Where can I get these?
What about snakes?
1+
Can't a snake get around this type of guard by stretching out and curling around?
tacobelle95 the bent out barbs at the entrance help deter them and other predators. Makes it much more uncomfortable for them to reach the entrance hole.
Blue bird does not need a perch
What about sparrows?
Was about to ask the same question...I think there is a way to prevent that...but I haven't seen any how to vids
I have seen this same setup used to deter house sparrows. It foils the sparrows approach to the opening. I'm planning to try this in the spring.

This lady has had success with her set up. Check it out when you have a minute
@@cintileonhardt: Sparrows will overcome any challenge you put before them. 🤥
Except the air rifle.
