@@SekonicGlobal hi there. Thanks. I think I couldn’t get it working because my light meter has the ‘e’ firmware. This won’t work with the pocket wizard modules right? I re-installed the legacy firmware and it works. When will it work with the ‘e’ firmware? Cheers
The light meter is designed for cinematographers. Although when creating a profile there are so many factors the come into play not like shooting log etc, that to create a meter it will be dependent on no parts of the workflow changing. Some have written articles on their workflow to creating meter profiles for the L-858 for cinematography.
HS mode is highly dependent on the timing speed of the cameras shutter. There isn't a way we can truly calculate that as it changes with each shutter speed and and Apeture. Plus HS often leaves ghosting because you still catch a piece of the shutter. HS is simply not as exact has HSS which will be consistent.

Yes but it just won't remote fire the flashes. You will have to trigger them with a remote or from flash.
Any news when this Masterpiece will be available in Australia again?

Why does Sekonic do not recommend rechargeable batteries? As it voids warranty
The voltage of most rechargeable batteries is lower, which can cause the battery indicator to show an improper reading.
nobody have made a video for making profiles for cinema cameras on the Sekonic 858d-U?
We only recommend it for a photography workflow.
